The 5.7 must be a lot different than the 6.4 because my factory locker wiring doesn't get very close to the exhaust. It travels straight up from the diff to the cross member and then forward toward the passenger side headlight.

Your build is super rad, those trussed axles have got me chubby.

Did spark plugs today, I always forget how shitty that is lol.

Have a few parts trickling in too. Got the billet aluminum quick release mounts for the in cab halgaurd extinguishers. Going to mount them in front of the front seats I think.

Also picked up some new differential breather hose for both axles and some extra to extend the transmission and transfercase breathers. Just to be on the safe side I got a filtered breather/catch can for each line that is equipped with a rollover valve to prevent any flammable liquids leaking if I should wind up on my lid one day lol. Safety first  :nopics:

Also picked up a new blue ox dh2101 gooseneck hitch. Going to have to get a little creative with the plasma and welder because the rear hydraulic bumpstops occupy the same real estate though.

Gassed it up today with jerry cans and a super siphon. That siphon is worth it's weight in gold. Added 25 gallons of fresh 93 octane and dosed what little old gas was in there with pri-g fuel treatment. Gonna let it sit overnight and I'm going to try and fire it up tomorrow!

Where'd you get that gas can wrench? Mine are pretty tough to open if I change elevation.

Never mind! Found it on Amazon. It's called a CapWrench MFC.

She's lives!!!

Drove out of the garage today and turned around and parked in the driveway. First time she's moved under her own power with the 5.13's. I had to air all 4 tires down to 8psi to get out of the garage and it idled right out without any hesitation. I think I'm going to like the new gears.

Have a few more things to do then it's off to get an alignment and then getting on the fabricators schedule. Very happy today!

Got the rear air locker line sheathed in insultherm and routed and secured along the frame rail today. Also separated the oem locker harness from the rear abs sensor harness and cleaned up the factory wiring.

Got the oem tow hitch pulled off today, it was a real pita. Had to pull the bed bolts and jack it off the frame to rotate the hitch up and out. Got my pattonfab/Thuren tube bumper installed too. It's at least 18-24" more clearance out back now! Next up is cutting the lower rear bedsides to match the new lines and gain some additional clearance. Can't say enough about the quality of this beast. Anyone in need of a high clearance rear bumper should give pattonfab a serious look. Great guy to do business with and he does top notch work.

Looks good man!

I might eventually do something similar with the rear-end using a Mercenary bumper.

What's the plan for the front bumper? PattonFab tube style?

You guys are killin me with your turbo talk

Got her aligned and I've been driving for a couple days now. Trying to take it easy on the new gears, but damn! The 5.13's really changed the truck completely. Doesn't feel like I'm pushing 37's anymore at all. Very similar to when it was stock and it was hard not to speed or chirp the tires off the line at every stoplight.

Regarding gear oil temperature, I had the gears cryoed and rem microfinished and I'm able to hold my hand on the rear diff cover for as long as I want to after a drive. Not sure what that equates to in degrees Fahrenheit but I'll have to get an infrared thermometer and find out.

Just a few quick questions. What is the hitch on that new bumper rated at ? Does it seem as stout as the factory hitch ? Is that an additional PS cooler or for something seperate, like hydro assist ?

The cooler replaces the factory piece, my understanding is that the straight through heatsink style cooler is necessary because it's flow rate is higher than the stock design. It's a TC pump rated at 1500psi@4.5gpm hence the very large reservoir and hoses larger in I.D. than stock as well.

I'm not sure about the new bumpers hitch rating but I'll ask. Pattonfab built it but it's Thuren designed. It's definitely very strong but no idea how it compares to stock. It does pick up a lot of ground clearance, at least 18-20". That was my main concern when I chose it.
