Cory's 2015 PW Build

Post by cory1337 » Sat Feb 07, 2015 11:02 am

So I got a new truck/project. I traded a white 2011 2500 ST RCLB Cummins for this beautiful black Power Wagon tradesman.
Image

So the first mod is.....
Weathertech Floormats
Image

I have NFAB bed access steps ordered and researching bed liners and covers. If I go lin-x/rhino I think I'll have the nfabs sprayed and maybe the rockers while I'm at it. Opinions?

I have a 30in Rigid light bar off the old truck I want to mount but the old truck had it where the which is. Suggestions on a light bar mount?

Duraflap mud flaps are in the mail, can't wait to get them installed to help keep her clean. It snowed today, got to actually try out the factory Duratracs. So far I'm impressed, truck goes in the snow much better than the 2011 diesel without traction control. I love this truck! :excited:

I have my rockers, rock rails, bumpers, and my grill all coated with Line-X. With the crap they spray on the roads around here it was the only way to keep rust from collecting on the bumpers and the rock rails. It's probably one of my favorite mods to date!

I like the light bar from Randy Ellis designs... Its clean, mounts behind the tow hooks and will hold a 30" no problem... If I don't do a front bumper replacement then I will go this route with his light bar...

Thanks for the link I do like that bar. It is cleaner than the options from Nfab. I'm really tempted to sell the 30in rigid and go with 4 round lights, they look so good on our trucks.

Bedrug Bed mat and Tailgate mat
Image

Install was very easy. The tailgate mat is slightly larger than it needs to be, I biased mine down to keep the sticky off the plastic. It makes the tailgate shut a little bit harder. Still closes fine so I'm not concerned. It is super comfy on the knees when I was installing the tailgate part. I think with a memory foam mattress topper you could sleep back there as good as anywhere. Now I have to decide on a cover for the back to keep things dry.

Duraflap And 2M HAM Radio Antenna

Image

Antenna mount is from The Antenna Farm. The antenna is a 1/4 wave 2M Larsen. The radio is yet to be determined. I'm using a old HT right now but want to do something more permanent.

Install and quick and easy. I ran 2 8AWG wires into the cab and used a 50amp Anderson power pole plug mounted to the lower dash. I then made a 50amp to 3 30amp power pole adapter. I only have the one radio at the moment but I hope to add another in the future. The antenna is a Larsen NMOQW144.

New member, first post. Let me start off by saying great looking truck Cory. Since my Wagon should be in this week I have a couple of questions for you.
1. Are the Nfab's a no drill application?
2. Are they the gloss or textured black?
3. If textured is it still powder coat or a bed liner type coating?

Thanks

1: Yes, the factory holes are used.

2: Textured - I had the gloss on my last truck, I went textured this time. I really like how it looks and is still easy to clean.

3: Powder coat

Christmas mods and wash & wax.

I installed the back rack with toolbox mount earlier this month, been too busy at work to get a good picture of it. I also installed timbren overload rubber bump stops. I had to purchase different bolts because the factory ones are 1" too long because of the factory spacer. I went with "ARP 762-1003 Hex Bolt, M10 x 1.50"" really high quality, I highly recommend. I come to FL every Christmas to visit my grandparents, washed and wax the truck and took a few pictures. Enjoy!

The toolbox I bought is extra deep I think 18" I'd have to measure it, but even with the square mounting for the back rack I still need a 3/4 spacer to make it just fit. I ddin't think about the 6.5ft bed when I bought the toolbox. The antenna mount is a Breedlove NMO Drop in Mount https://breedlovemounts.com/NMO_Drop_in_Mount.php.
