There is more clearance, but unless you either smash in or cut off the corners, it really doesn't matter since they will hit long before the bumper. Mine are smashed in...

I'll go see if the flash will show the brackets - black on black is tough.

Pics - fuzzy, but there visible. I used the one bracket that holds my mounting plate. One is from directly below, the other from the side. The bottom of the bed looks similar on both sides...

Shouldn't the bumper be a pinch lower to protect the rockers/bottom of the truck?

In my case, you can't protect them much, they hit long before the bumper does.

Hmm. Enquiring minds just have to know! Why such a heavy grounding strap for the exhaust?

All I can come up with is that it must be just a HD exhaust hanger because I can't for the life of me see a need for grounding the exhaust with such a stout ground strap? That thing would easily carry 500 amps or more.

It's been a solid truck considering the mix of use it gets. It's due for shocks, a front end inspection, and that's about it for now.

Just went through your build for the first time. I really like what you have done with the rig, and envy how you can use it so often for what it is meant to be used for. Beautiful area you get to explore.

That rear bumper is badass too!

The truck exterior shows the wear - it's dull even when clean these days. Arizona pin stripping has really taken a toll on the paint and headlights. Glad we don't get heavily salted winter roads like the guys back east do. The underside is well sand and gravel blasted down to bare metal. Both quarter panels are caved in, the sliders gouged, but still doing the job. The bed/storage area kit is showing wear - one drawer used for the heavy recovery stuff failed this summer. The sliders literally fell apart, so it was removed and the open area used for the same stuff stored in tool bags. The interior shows the miles to. The D'side seat needs to be re-upholstered due to the foam being worn out. The carpet is stained from caliche clay and spilled coffee.

2.0's are your basic run of the mill shocks... basic shaft size etc.etc. These trucks really need to run the 2.5's or the 3.0's (and if you got big pocket book, go with the new 3.5 Kings with the Carli conversion towers)

2.0 are good for regular street driving, and a couple light trail rides a year. $200 +/- per
if you beat your rig on fast trails with woops,,,, Invest in some "landing gear" ie: air bumps and still use your 2.0's,,,, If you are not a fabricator, buy the Carli kit,, or save your money and build your own kit.

2.5's are great shocks with TONS of advantages over the 2.0's $350 +/- per

3.0's are really what I think a PW needs if you truly beat your rig up off road, and continually launch your rigs front end in the air, can handle the landings really well, and is still affordable at around $500 +/- per

3.5's are freakin SICK shocks and VERY expensive,,,I think King is the only ones that make them..

the new 2.65's from Bilstein are REALLY great shocks, and wont break the bank...CARLI Sells them at an amazing price, and have videos to prove how nice they are.

I have a buddy running these ProFender shocks on the front of his rig http://www.profendersuspension.com/25-s ... p_124.html and they are holding up INCREDIBLY well and are REALLY affordable.. You have to buy the tower conversion, but worth it..

ANYTIME you can find piggybacks, or remotes,,,,GO FOR IT... even on the 2.0's..,,, its far better to have the fluid dampening on the "outside"

You won't get any real performance improvement keeping with 2.0" shocks I highly recommend a 2.5 or larger setup if budget allows.

If he only drives his wagon on trails at moderate speeds a 2.0 with a nice valve will be fine. The biggest advantage of a 3.0 and 3.5 are their ability to disperse heat. Unless your a baja nut they are overkill huge. A 2.5 is a very good performer lets you do what you want when you want without breaking the bank. I doubt you will overheat a 2.5 king without hurting your hands from driving to fast lol. Just my two cents I like my 2.65's but the bushings are 1/2" and suck for longevity in harsh conditions with these huge trucks. The 5/8" bushing on a king 2.5 -3.5 (heims were talking) lasts much longer in all weather conditions. That being said your foxes there^ run the rubber bushing and should never wear out! As long as they stay tightened
