Thanks man!! Well I am hesitant to spend that kind of $ on a tuner. I will if I have to. However, according to the ProCal literature, it can adjust tire size ( for speedometer), axle ratio (For tranny), & tire pressure setting (for TPMS).

You got $500 for a set of stock duratracs with 27k miles on them?! You done did good! Were they spent or did they have some usable miles left in them?!
Yeah, I let them go for $400. They were actually at 11-12/32", so more than ½ life I guess, more than I thought at nearly 30K miles, and a little chunking on the side lugs from off roading up North, nothing too bad I think.

The solar panel trailers were mobile portable power stations for sale or rent.

Really, when was that? I thought with the new WiTech II, dealers were locked out from making changes to the RFH, which is needed to register new pressures. You can still make a change in the BCM, but w/o RFH assess, the light will still come on. But who really knows. I've spent 3 days vigorously researching this & honestly, I still can't tell if it's something that can be changed as of today. Maybe it could have been changed with WiTech I & the right voodoo dance, but I'm skeptical now. FCA has there collective head in their ass on this.

Thanks man!! Well I am hesitant to spend that kind of $ on a tuner. I will if I have to. However, according to the ProCal literature, it can adjust tire size ( for speedometer), axle ratio (For tranny), & tire pressure setting (for TPMS).

http://www.aev-conversions.com/isheets/ ... ProCal.pdf
The tuner costs almost as much as the Procal but it gives you more control and transmission programming. I need to see some evidence the ProCal can adjust the TPMS because the instructions tell you to take it to the dealer to have the thresholds changed. I presume they mean with a WiTech.

Hey, yes you're correct, you can set the TPMS threshold with a ProCal; however, you need your VIN assigned PIN # which you're supposed to get from the dealer, then you can change the BCM with the ProCal, but I think the RFH still has to be accessed by a WiTech.

It looks like some of the guys on CF may have cracked the TPMS reset procedure. I'd be interested in a Procal for the fog light programming alone.

Its the procedure listed in the AEV instructions using currently available diagnostic tools such as Auto Enginuity.

Right, which is what I was saying before:

Using the Procal will program the Tire Pressure In ation Value for the vehicle, the vehicle’s information screen may indicate the new programmed value right away, but it will not “take” until this process below is completed:
1. Contact your dealer’s part department about obtaining your vehicle’s PIN, the PIN is a unique 4 digit number based on your vehicle’s VIN.
2. Using WiTech 1 or 2 (desktop application or web interface), access the Radio Frequency Hub (RFH) module.
3. Select the option to Program an Ignition FOBIK (Key).
4. Forward through the menus until you are asked for a PIN Number.
5. Enter that vehicle’s PIN
6. After entering a PIN, the application will ask you if it is correct, select Yes or Continue.
7. Close the Program FOBIK process. Do not continue with programming a key.
8. Return to the main menu of the WiTech program.
9. Access the “Diagnostic Procedures” page.
10. Select the RESET ECU function.
11. Follow the instructions and reset the Radio Frequency Hub (RFH) Module.
12. The Tire Pressure In ation Value will now re ect with actual tire pressure, the vehicle may need to be driven a few miles before the changes are apparent.

You can't buy the Procal though. I assume AEV has an agreement with FCA that limits who can get a Procal in exchange for the technology necessary to interface vehicle computers.

Pentagon and DC life as it is, doesn't leave a lot of time for truck work, but I've managed to add a few things the past few months, quick summary, nothing special:

1. AMP Research BedStep (Amazon has a $50 rebate running + I bought a "used" one from the Amazon Warehouse, so all said, it cost me just north of $100)

3. Factor 55 Shorty Strap III : Perfect 3" short strap for hooking to axle tubes when a 30' tow strap isn't required

4. Synthetic Winch line is next: 7/16"x 100' Kevlar winch FireLine

OMG :excited:
I let the stuck party put the strap on their vehicle - but I check where they put it before I will start pulling...
"um - don't connect it to the bumper that will pull right off"
"Oh! - don't connect it to the tie-rod that will bend and break"
"no way - the exhaust pipe won't work either"

Sorry, the damn SecDef has me on a "special project", which I consider a govn't charity, but I digress.

Latest updates, hmm, nothing big other than these three:

1. My PW is getting trashed parked in my driveway in VA, the pollen, the 60yd old trees surround the house, the paint is getting hammered, so this is my short term remedy:

2. This is for the GSP, it works great to keep his muddy paws off my back seats, and me off him....
I really like this product, it is heavy duty and looks good, and is easy to clean up. It's becoming a permanent fixture in the truck.

3. Another permanent fixture in the truck is this handy hunting and organizing caddy, also sort of keeps my GSP Max-the-dog from jumping on the front seat, sometimes. It takes a bit to get it sized and situated right, but once it is, it's really secure. The top pockets hold quite a bit of gear--binos, shells, dog collars and other bird dog crap, etc. and the gun cases hold a good variety of long guns. My 26" bbl wood stock Remington V3 w/ ext. choke fit, but my 28" Brownelli A5 Ultimate w/ ext. chokes does not fit all the way, and most rifles with scopes will fit, my 7mm RUM and 300RUM do not fit all the way, but close.

ooohhhh and I forgot...I also some how managed to get a 'bootlegged' AEV ProCal, before AEV locked that sh@t down. There's quite the tedious, but entertaining, thread about the ongoing ProCal saga here http://forum.powerwagonregistry.org/vie ... &start=175 but, aside from the jackassery, the ProCal worked as advertised. I think I am the only one here (?) able to use all the ProCal features, and yes, it has definitely changed the truck's performance. I wouldn't say dramatically, but it definitely returns the truck to at least stock performance, and permits realization of the performance upgrade in adding 4.88's. A very cost friendly mod/enhancement if you're not looking to add custom tunes or custom shift points.

How the F did you get a $200 discount on the rear R&P and $100 on the front R&P ? I can't find those prices anywhere, including Randys. Hard to imagine a price hike like that occurred in the last year. But maybe. Heck you even got discounts on the install kits. :wtf:

Sorry i’ve been MIA— life. That was a while ago, but whatever i had written was probably exactly off the invoice I received via email after I ordered from Randy’s...spent a lot of time on the phone ensuring I was ordering the the exact right parts...required a few calls to AAM in Michigan to cross-check. The final cost may have been a little higher because I did go back and opt for an AAM rear over the Yukon, which was more, not a lot, less than $50 I think. The install is where the real cost is high. Did you ever go through with the re-gear?
