I gotta get some longer coils, it's loose in that picture. Still in the bucket but can shake it. Haha

I talked to Don about it and his 2" coils would be perfect for me, not much gain in height and will remain in place at full droop. I don't put my dog on a leash, why would I do that to the truck? I know it keeps other things from binding but it's not in those situations on a daily basis and I haven't had any issues so far.

Haha well if you do get airbourne fast you may rip the bottom out of those kings. Especially when longer coils are in there. The snap ring holding the piston head on is like .010" thick and your dropping a 800lb axle assembly on it :p

I gotcha, how did you attach straps and where do you get them from? That would save me some time and money right now and as you say, prevent a lot more time and money later.

I could bolt it to the swaybar ear on the axle and drill a hole in the coil brace and bolt the other end there.

There is a tab welded to the axle, behind the sway bar link bracket.

Right, but I don't have a swaybar so why not use the one already there?

Sure, why not? I was just showing you the recommended location. Carry on.

Yes do that! Get a longer swaybar bolt and just affix it to your end link tab area. I wouldn't recommend welding tabs on the front side of the axle like Carli does just in case you want to do a different steering set up in the future it may contact the added on tabs at full droop and turn maybe not tho. Also where they are placed in the Carli kit they do kinda rub on the track bar mount area so the swaybar is a good spot for now. I would
Go with a quad wrap myself get em from fab tech or trail gear I just picked up the trail gear ones they are a six ply wrap tho so they are gunna expand a lot less then a quad wrap. A single or dual wrap expands about 1" every 12" of strap. I suspect you could go with 17-18" in the front and just drill a hole through the coil bucket front at where you end up wanting to place the top and then attach the lower to the lower swaybar mount. I would image you should full droop suspension then install the strap then extend 100% up -mark where your strap stops then go up one more inch or 3/4" then drill. That way when your strap stretches you should be pretty damn close to 100% travel.

That's part of the order, depends on how the front axle turns out.

Thuren 3" coils and rear shackles have been added since the front axle housing had to be replaced. Lifted the front 2.25" from the factory coils which had 147K miles on them. Apparently I had been sagging...

Man that looks good. Crazy how the 37s look "normal" with a small bit of lift. You going to add a leaf or get some deavers to level it out?

Looks good. I have not ordered my stuff yet. I was deciding between the 2 or 3". Not sure which route. Don said 2" will raise it about .75"

Imma give it a few miles to settle down and then see. Already ordered 37's Hankooks for next week. Even with the added height, the 37's fit in the wheel well best when stuffed so I'm not going bigger.

Think my shit was worn out. Haha. Measure between the axle and bump stop. I only had 2" to a boogie. They're longer than stock though.
