It does look like a simple enough design to be wallet friendly...

Very nice! Gives it an old muscle car look. People will probably think you have a carburetor on there when you pop the hood and they see that siting there, lol. Got a question since you posted you went 125 with 37s. I looked online and found the speed rating for the stock BFGs was 106, so I set my speed limiter at 105. So at what point does it become a danger when going over the rated speed limit of your tires? I figured my tires would start ripping apart if I tried maxing my truck out at 125+, so I'm playing it safe. Could I bump my limiter back up to 125 or 130 and be fine? I rarely go over 80 but every once in awhile I'm on a long stretch of road near my house that I know there isn't any cops sitting on and I suddenly feel the need for speed  Looking forward to more of your mods, I may be making this my next intake instead of an Airraid.

Well after a phone conversation or two with Matt at Moe's (who is awesome by the way), I've decided to send the intake back. I believe its designed for a 1500 hood. Although it looks nice and I did gain some off the line grunt and better throttle response, it doesn't seal to the HD hood. He says they've put many on PWs and other HDs and sent me a longer coupling but it simply does not match the contour of the hood. I'm anal as hell and just can't have it knowing that it isn't right. Right by the hood light, there's a drop in the liner that keeps the intake from sealing on the passenger side and there's a rise across the back that it doesn't fit neither. The intake is practically flat with a seal with about 1" of deflection. The contours are greater than that deflection will over come. For the money, it should fit right. Too bad, because it is a great design, just needs o be tweaked for the HD hood.

As for speed Stickman, I wouldn't suggest to over the rating on your tire, would I, well... My Yoko's are good for 106, however I've only done that just a few times just to see what it would do and know what its capable of. Plus the Baja trucks run them much harsher than me up to speeds of 125+ so....shrug...:)

I only do what the majority of the 4 voices in my head tell me to. In most cases, I ignore two of them because one doesn't speak English, and I suspect the other is talking to someone else.

Lol, that's kind of what I figured. Kind of a "do at your own risk" type of thing. And that sucks to hear that the intake doesn't seal to the hood perfectly, looked very nice. Hopefully they get it changed to where it will. I'm anal about things like that also and would've probably done the same thing.

Well, I could have modified either my hood or the intake and made it fit but for $350+/- I shouldn't have too.

You can see here where the seal touched the one spot in the hood and it kept it away from sealing the entire side.

I did not see any mention of any kind of leveling kit, did you not need one to fit the 37's?

awesome thanks. I like the look of your truck, lots of tire with minimal lift. I would like a m/t though so thinking about adding level kit with the arms.

Got a little wild hair and covered up some chrome yesterday. I need to get some more and plan to do the fender flares and the black stripe on the bottom.

This is Plasti Dip and it's super easy to work with. Most folks black out things, I wanted something a little different, it looks really good in person and once I get it all done, it should look even better.

Very interesting mod. I'd like to see a few pictures that aren't as close up (so we can see how it flows with the whole truck).

Definitely looks different, almost gives it a "military grade" look with that color. I did my rims black and they still look really good, no peeling or chipping anywhere.

OK, here are some more pictures. If I do the flares and the bottom and it doesn't come together, I'll peel it all off and go with gunmetal or black.

Here's a couple shots of Thurens arms and the only rubbing I have with 37's. Actually rubs the sway bar the most now and I can barely notice it in the cab with these tires since they dont have aggressive side lugs.

Interesting color. Looks good. How many cans did it take? Do you have to sand before or just spray?

Just wash the surface thoroughly with soap and water then let it dry completely.

Alright fellas, here it is, I really like how it turned out. I would suggest anyone to use this stuff even if you just coat the rocker panel with the same color for protection. It almost matches my factory interior trim which was a good accident :)

This project took 10 cans. I have less than $90 in all of it including tape and a couple decks of playing cards. Simply wash it, dry it and spray it on.

I purposely sprayed enough to make it run in one spot and came back 30 minutes later and it leveled itself out, this stuff is great and super easy and the best part is you can peel it right back off.

Not bad for a rattle can job.

Damn, that looks really good, better than I imagined. That is cool how it matches your interior too. Only thing I don't like about it on mine is it attracts gravel dust like crazy and makes the black look like crap, and since I live on a gravel road it always looks like crap, even right after a good wash.
