It's a Wilson signal booster. Between tires, canopy, rack, sleeping area, aux fuel tank and gear, I figure there is around 1500 lbs of extra weight.

Couldn't make your mind up on wheels huh? :D Nice build, turned out great (for the moment)
Did you like that hitch spare tire carrier?

I only do what the majority of the 4 voices in my head tell me to. In most cases, I ignore two of them because one doesn't speak English, and I suspect the other is talking to someone else.

The Hitch Gate Tire rack was good, The only reason I stopped using it, was that I had the roof rack now to put the tire on.

Quasi, did you have any problems putting your ladder rack on? I'm installing the same one on my 2006 and it's leaving a huge gap between my cap and bed. The bottom mounting plates come out level from my bed but my cap and bed slope down. I emailed you about this as well but I figured I'd reply on your post in case you see one before the other.

My truck is an SLT with a 5.9 Cummins Quad Cab 6'5" bed. Your truck is the only one I've seen with this type of ladder rack (so far). I'd post a picture of the problem area but I don't know how

Thanks, Rick

Did you have gaps like this while installing the ladder rack? If yes how did you fix it?

Thanks, Rick

The plates do drop a bit once the weight of rack and junk is on it. My Cap fit to the Plates well with one layer of foam tap. But I had to put 2-3 layers of foam tape on the bottom of the cap between the plates and across the front, in the Gap created by the plates lifting the Cap a bit.
