The more you modify a vehicle the less reliable it becomes that's not what you want in the back country. IMO stick with the stock tune for reliability sake and get something that can adjust for tire size and get out and enjoy your truck!

Hey everyone ... So I made a huge mistake asking this question on Facebook, but I have an emergency. I’m not looking to explain every mod my truck has, in detail, to make sure it’s worthy of your response. I need a new programmer/tuner. My Diablosport InTune I-1000 has never worked right, and just wiped my ECU. The dealer$hip has already repaired it, but I need a new tuner within the next six days, due to an upcoming move. What programmers/tuners do you have/recommend, that isn’t Diablosport, but allows for custom tuning. My truck’s a paperweight without it ... Thank you in advance.
I was wondering why you deleted your post. We really wanted to know what amazing performance gains you're getting that you cannot tow in the mountains without a tune. What makes your truck so different from everyone else towing on 37's?

Anyways, you should hit up https://www.facebook.com/greeneracing.tuning/

I am not saying mods are bad, obviously look at my signature. I'm saying choose wisely, if something of high quality is not available, the best choice could be to avoid it. Especially on a rig that's going to be in remote places for extended periods of time where dependability is much more important.

When it comes to the PW engine I'm not getting a warm fuzzy feeling about many of the tunes out there. Let's face it the Ram Hemi 2500 is a low quantity vehicle and the PW even lower so many of the tunes in the market are more of an afterthought rather than a tried, true and tested product.

Don't get me wrong I'm simply saying that keeping the stock tune is a viable option.

Canned tunes are not the greatest. They play it safe so that you won't come back and say that their tune blew up your motor. The best way is on a dyno for tuning. My Nismo has spent a day on a dyno for tuning. Peter just got his PW dyno tuned. All with good results. I'm planning on getting my PW dyno tuned too. Tuners like Diablo are hit and miss.

Thank you, to those who’ve assisted with good intention. I do appreciate your time and thoughts. The rest of this message isn’t aimed at you. Unfortunately, I’m leaving this forum as well ... I left Full-Size Overlanders [Facebook] because of “God-Emporers” like BoldAdventure ... I didn’t realize we had to “please the crown” to ask a question ... As if you know everything about these trucks, and what I’ve done to mine ... These forums/pages/groups have moved away from helping and community, into snarky shitposting ... It’s no longer question/answer, it’s question/question the question/mock ... This community has changed, and it’s people like BoldAdventure doing it ... There’s always that one person ruining it for others ... Oh well, I guess ...

i got 2 vehicles with dyno tunes in them. I'm luck that I don't have to remove them. I know of other people who had the problems you have with removing the tunes using other software.

For my stock'ish truck I don't feel like I need an engine tune but the transmission desperately needs a different programming strategy. The truck doesn't need to be in 6th gear at 35mph. Changing the differential gears helped the shifting feel but damn, the transmission is always in the wrong gear. Tow/Haul helps but then it applies maximum engine braking when you let off the throttle and locks out 6th gear. I've been considering installing HC lifters so at that point I'll probably buy a tuner.

Stick around, Mike may be a twat but he's our twat and every now and then does something productive.

The biggest thing with the 3G's is torque management. It's over protective. :(
