I'm hoping to be about done with the tuck for a while. All I need is new tires (I hate these POS stock BFG's) and the AEV Raised Air Intake and I'm going to call it good for a while. At least I think I will be good for a while. Maybe...

I don't technically consider my latest purchase a mod but more of a necessary upgrade. I ended up having 285/75/17 Toyo A/T II Tires installed over the weekend and with the few hundred miles I put on them over the weekend towing the family boat I'm really happy with them. The road noise is minimal (less than my stock BFG's with 28,000 miles), and they look like they will do well in snow and even a bit of mud.
Anyway- a few pic's of the tires and the truck doing a little work this past weekend.

AEV Raised Air Intake
Here's a thread about the Raised Air Intake along with some discussion on the product:

I keep hoping the list will end, but I'm sure something else will pop up. Thanks for the compliment.

Wow, that looks good. How was the installation?

I think the installation is pretty straight forward. I don't have the tools at home to do a job like this, nor could I cut a hole in my own fender. Basically it was 4 hours of work to install the Raised Air Intake, and the company that has done all my other stuff gave me a really good deal to do the install. I'm very happy with how it turned out. At this point I'm hoping the truck is done, but you never know what might pop up on the list down the road.

04Ram2500Hemi, did you get the raised intake primarily for air quality (dust mitigation) or for water fording?

I don't see me crossing any big body's of water anytime soon. I like the idea of cleaner air, but it's nice to know that the intake is higher off the ground should I run into a big puddle of some sort. I'm still up in the air about the round filter design, I may add that later.

Put the truck to work for a while on Saturday. Had to take out dad's 19ft Larson and our 21ft Pontoon out of the water for winter. This signals the last day of summer for my family. Now it's time to start getting ready for hunting season.

Well on November 5th my truck turned 4 years old. Here's my total mileage in 4 years, along with the mileage for the last year. I'm starting to think I don't drive my truck enough.

I'm right under 28k coming up on 3 years in March but I've also been driving it alot this year. I just started a new job working 7 days a week though so it probably won't see many miles for the next year or so. Maybe I'll beat ya! Lol
