Any of you mofos in the lower Outer Banks, meaning near Ocracoke during the week of 8/9? If you are, I will certainly be there that week on the beach often. Feel free to reach out to me if you want to meet up.

I'll have to check my work schedule, but if I'm off I might be able to head that way.

Don't go out of your way guys. Ocracoke is kind of remote. Just come out if your interested. However, it is easily THE most beautiful beach on the east coast. Been coming here since I was 15 yrs old. I highly recommend it.

Usually stay in Frisco and spend a day in Ocracoke while we are there. Not sure we are going to make it there this year. Have a fantastic time.

Frisco is another favorite spot of mine. I've stayed there a few times. Usually get a house on the sound side and drive out on the beach near Billy Mitchell Airport. Frisco Rod & Gun is a great shop, too.

My brother rents a house on the beach up past Corolla. The only way to get to the house, is to drive on the beach.

I stayed there a few yrs back, in the Carova area, almost at the VA border. It is a beautiful and fun place to stay. We would have horses under and around the house almost every day. Fun watching novices in AWD vehicles get buried in the soft spots.

Everytime I've been there. Seen bunches of people stuck. Idiots from NYC in their euro suv's get stuck the most.
Drive next to the water. The sand is like concrete. Drive next to the dunes. It's really soft.

We used to camp three or four times a year at Frisco woods which is right up the road from Billy Mitchell. I have rented a house in Corolla a couple of times in the last few years and that was great too. Mrs. G does not like dragging the camper that far and wants a house now. I guess she thinks I should grow up or something.
I still take surf trips to Frisco Woods with my buddies. My son is almost old enough to handle paddling out there on a good day. It will be a great excuse to get back to three or four camping trips a year.
North or South, it's all good. Probably my favorite place on earth.

Yeah, I know exactly where Frisco Woods is. Never stayed, but have visited their shop on the main road.
