Rausch Creek 2019 June 21,22,23

Post by RustyPW » Sun Jun 24, 2018 10:57 pm

Mike, Peter, and me made reservations for June 21,22,23 2019 at Twin Pines campground. This was the only way we would be guaranteed spots at the campground. We got the same spots as this year. 2018.

https://twingrove.com/

Mike said that there is another offroad park not too far away. He's going to check it out for us. If it's better. We might head there for 2019, and find a campground there.

So.....give us your ideas.

I am very interested in the trip. There are now 3 parks in that region all about an hour from each other. Rausch, AOAA, and the new one which is still very primitive Readings Famous. I have been to both Rausch and AOAA. Both are a blast. I would love to hit the new one.

The 3 of us have been talking about going to a different park for next year.

How well do these trucks fit down the trails there? Can one expect a lot of pin striping and rock rash?

We have had 4G's go through with little problem. Pinstriping depends on your driving skill. The one year. We had an older ferb crew cab with 8ft follow us for a while. Talk about a flexy frame. :jawdrop:

Good to know. I have always wanted to check out that area of the country and try my hand at those trails. We just might have to come up for this. I'll check with the misses and see if our schedule is free for a visit that time of year.

Ok all. Time to start planning for this trip and getting people interested.

We had talked about going to one of the other parks in the area last time we were together.

Thoughts?

Think we might have to drop out this year. We started to rent out the motorhome this spring. Wifey forgot to put in a blackout date for that weekend. So the motorhome is rented out. Wifey wants me to come out Friday and come back home Saturday night. That's a bit much for Saturday. :(

They show Summer Camps and Retreats but I don't see anything about camping there on the website. Do you have to call them?

Trying to get my family to come down and want to bring our travel trailer.
