Mike and me was at the Hershey RV Show yesterday. We ended up talking to the people from Twin Grove campground. That's the first campground we stayed at, with the Canadian group. They have added a lot more to it. Like a pool. :D Mike, Peter, and I have made reservations for 6/22, 6/23, and 6/24 2018. Mike is in site R44, I'm in R50, and Peter is in R56. The sites are together, towards the rear of the campground, on Road 5, and there is 3 cabins across the road from us.

So if you are planning to stay at the campground. Please make your reservations ASP.

Here's the link to the campground.

In talking with fellow members. It seems like we always get about the same dates for Rausch Creek. So we just decided to go ahead with next years dates since we was at the RV show talking to the campground people. Seems like every year. We run into problems getting the camp sites we want.

Did SnowFlake get the over heat problem fixed?

Actually yes. Snowflake has seen a few upgrades with a few more coming before our outing.

Ever since this form left Tapatalk this place has been dead.

Anybody else interested in going?

We need to start talking about food folks. We might even want to rename this to the Annual Rausch Creek Off-Road and Food Festival

Anyone? Anyone?

Wifey was telling me that the wifey's had talked about hamburgers on Friday, and steaks and a side dish on Saturday. Bring your own.

Cathy has been keeping me up to date on the food discussions. I'm sure we will be doing the usual over-stuffing for the weekend. We will be leaving on Sunday morning, as we are going to OCMD with a group from my firehouse the following week, starting on Sunday.

I wish a few more people were able to join us!

FYI- I found another off-road park to talk about while we are at the campground.

We're leaving tomorrow for our trip out west. Will be back in town on the 14th. Think from the 2nd through the 9th. No cell phones. We will be in a dead spot I think. 58 miles south of Bullfrog Utah, on Lake Powell.

I don't think I'll be going this year. I have a slight ck I clicking noise that I thought was the Cardan, but now I see leakage at the front driveshaft transfer case input. I just had the front diff pinion bearings replaced in December. So now I have to take care of this. Wiper motor is doing what it wants, and the driver rear door harness is pinched. I may as well get a new PW with the money I'm putting into this. WTF

I'll post this GTG in the Facebook PW groups to get more exposure.

Hey guys sorry I haven't been on in a bit. Things have been crazy both at work and at home. I am still coming and got a cabin, but unfortunately couldn't get one close to where the rest of you are setting up. The Wife and kids (the whole brood) will be coming up with me on Friday and staying the night. Then they will head off to a family reunion further north for the weekend. Let me know what the plans are for food or I can shoot you the wife's number so she can join the ladies in the meal planning for Friday

Oh one more thing Looking at getting some diff guards before the trip any recommendations?

I've got Carli in the front and purple cranium in the back. Other people have purple cranium front & rear, both seem to work.

Made it home from out west. My rear locker light is flashing. But only after I drive about 50 miles. So this weekend. I'm pulling the rear cover and clean the magnets.

When you clean your magnet check the air gap while you're there. Mine is adjusted on the tight side. Following the FSM procedure, mine will hold a 5mm hex socket snug. The spec is 5.5mm +-.25mm. I know I've posted this before but hears the procedure so you have it handy.
Also while you're at it, try tightening up the female terminals in your 4 pin rear locker connector with a dental pick tool, that fixed mine.

Thank you! Mine was fine until I took this trip out west. About 200 miles out from home. The light started to flash. I have a lot of miles on it since I did my last gear lube change. And I'm over do to do it. I image that there will be a lot of gunk on the magnets.

Pulled the rear diff cover off. Fluid looked about normal for 55,000 miles. There was a BIG bunch of metal particles around the magnet and sensor. Cleaned the magnet and sensor with Q-tips. Wiped out the inside of the diff. Checked the clearance. It was 5mm. In spec. Checked locker operation. Everything worked. Installed the cover and filled with new 75w-90 Mobil 1. Took 6 quarts. Went for a ride and everything is fine.

This years Rausch Creek is over. :( Everyone has left camp. Me and wifey are still here. Will be heading home in the morning. We just wheeled Saturday. Sunday, Mike had to pack up and leave. He had other plans. Tonka left the same time as Mike did. I didn't want to wheel without lockers after what we went through on Saturday. So the rest of us chilled at the campground and enjoyed the pool. Mac left after a dip in the pool. Peter and Steph left late afternoon. We had a great time together. It's a fun group of people. Think next year. We all might go on a cruise together.

This year was a bit destructive. I bent my right side rock rail-nerf bar up high enough that I couldn't open up the door. My lockers quit working. Stalled my winch trying to get me free from being high centered. Tonka hooked up to me from the rear with his winch. He just drug himself closer to me. Had to use my high lift jack. Used the attachment for the rims. Picked the tire up high enough to put some 4x4's under 2 tires. Then Tonka picked me backwards. All of my skid plates are bent to hell and back.

Peter lost a tail light and bent the fender on the left rear.

Mike had locker issues late in the day.

Tonka (Mike) bent his front bumper in a mud hole hill climb.

Mac got his Snowflake (Cherokee) working well. He's the only one that don't have any problems.

We shared the campground with a bunch of Bronco's. This was their weekend too.

Video's after I get home and edit.
