Re: MOAB 2017 - May 1-7
Here is what we had in mind.
But if people are interested, we can setup the order form. All American Apparel. Obviously the "printable area" wouldn't be on the actual shirt.

Re: MOAB 2017 - May 1-7
That's actually a pretty clean design Mike! I'll ask what company was used for the DTX shirts and see what lead time they had. Morgan thanks for offering the time and effort. I'm happy to pitch in as well for a few shirts.
Mike, could we put the big design on the back of the shirt and do a small logo on breast pocket up front? Unless that is against the consensus or noticeable to the cost.

Shirts are $15 per shirt, orders must be in by April 15th, won’t be ordered until we receive payment via Paypal. Details for colors, sizes, and PayPal on the order form. We'll email you to confirm. And have shirts at the meetup for each person.

It drives the cost up to $20 per shirt with a longer lead time to get them. Next year.
Re: MOAB 2017 - May 1-7
Dang you guys and this trip. I wish I could make it
Re: MOAB 2017 - May 1-7
I am trying hard to convince the other half to allow this trip to happen next year but may be hard due to her being in graduate school in may. Can we still support this years by buying some shirts?MikeKey wrote:
Going, to be honest, when I first posted this event and volunteered, I didn't really expect 20 trucks to show up. I think there were 5 of us last year last year for one day, 4 for another and then 3 the rest of the time. I guess that's what happens when someone organizes, lol.
Hopefully, this year will be a blast for everyone and next year will be even bigger.
2016 Power Wagon Laramie, Maximum Steel. Mods installed are White Knuckle Steps and factory rubber mud flaps and Blue LED response lights.
Re: MOAB 2017 - May 1-7
Well... guess I better get three shirts, one for each day I get to wheel! Also, I better get my wife one (even though she isn't going), LOL! AWESOME!!!!
Just a heads up- from what I have read, American Apparel shirts seem to tend to run small (being a fitted style shirt) so, you may want to go a size up from what you would normally wear!!!
WOO-HOO!!! $$$ sent and shirts ordered! Thank you!!!!

Re: MOAB 2017 - May 1-7
On the drone idea, I have a buddy who owns one, a VERY fancy one with tracking, collision avoidance, etc. He can set it up to track a particular vehicle and take pics and video with the drone following it (would be cool to track each truck individually through an obstacle!!!) and can take pictures and videos manually as well. The only thing is, that is part of his business so, it wouldn't be free. If we all wanted to chip in, I can see what kind of pricing it would be. (I believe he said it does 4K videos and photos so, awesome image quality)

Regarding the t-shirts....
There are now 9 colors: Black, Navy, Light Blue, Dark Gray, Orange, Green, Light Gray, Purple, and Royal Blue.
And of course, the "printable area" box won't be on the final product.
9 days left to order, 24 days until PWinMoab!

Just ordered another shirt! One of my buddies is going to possibly fly out and ride with me so, wanted to make sure he has a shirt!
This is going to be such an awesome trip!!! I've been looking through the guide that was sent out, we are going to be hitting some amazing trails!!!!!
Really great guide, I'll be going and getting some ink for my printer so I can print it all out! VERY well organized and informative!!!!

Has the trail itinerary been put together yet? I'd like to make it down for at least a few days, and I'd like to run the easier trails, mostly because it looks like the sliders I ordered won't be here in time.

Yup! It was posted, and here's the link:

This way you'll be sure to get important updates.
As for sliders, we've run Poison Spider Loop, Hell's, Fins, Top of the World and others without them (on stock, worn, air'd down tires too!). They are great to have, but careful tire placement works to get around certain obstacles.

Not much longer now. I'm getting excited. Still have a bunch to do, to get the truck and Airstream ready. Oh boy.

Hell's is full of bypasses so you can get out on the sandstone and do the smooth hills, get a good look at the obstacles and watch others to help you decide. The exit is non-optional and it is rough but nothing too scary/risky. You can watch a stock new Cherokee KL do it here (exit starts @ 08:50) for a little inspiration lol: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DyJBr9O-u8gStormRider wrote:I signed up, and thanks for putting the itinerary together. Baby Lion's Back and Fins are also a great introduction to see what you're getting yourself into.

As of right now. Just a few more welds and then I can get the lift mechanism built. Roof is pretty much done. Skin will be the next big item.
