Greetings: we are headed to Texas from Oregon in mid July. Our route is through Boise, Idaho toward Green River, Utah, through Utah and the four corne area into New Mexico then through Texas to Austin. Have our route fairly laid out and were wondering if any of you have some special sites you like near that route that would be nice to visit. Plan on travelling early +/- 7- 8 hours a day and will be towing our 26' travel trailer. So if we find a spot we like want to spend a day or two. Have looked at the AAA road Atlas, the AAA Trip tech checking out sights, campgrounds, spots of interest, etc. We have talked with friends & neighbors so have some ideas but are looking for other input from folks that may know and enjoy areas along or near this route. Have heard Moab, Zion, Bryce Canyon, are beautiful. Coming back have not decided route are thinking of up through Colorado, mebbe a bit of Wyoming, Montana, Idaho and then home,,,,are planning on about a 20 day trip with 8 in Austin visiting family and grandkids,,,,any suggestions would be welcome !!!

Sounds like a great trip. Have a good time and don't stress it. Get ready it's hot as hell in Texas that time of year. Hopefully it's stopped raining by then lol

If you come up through Wyoming you could always go to Teton National Park and Yellowstone National park.
While your there maybe pick up a baby Bison and get charged by an elk. :run:
