Uwharrie 2012 feeler thread

Post by MSparks909 » Mon Jun 18, 2012 9:06 am

Hey guys. Thinking about possibly getting a good Uwharrie trip together either this summer or fall (wouldn't mind fall because it would be cooler but summer is fine too). I know a lot of you guys are up in PA & NJ but Uwharrie is pretty challenging in a full-size, especially on Daniel trail. FWIW, I got zero body damage at Rausch, but got 2 minor dents at Uwharrie because of the technical difficulty of some trails. You'll be fine with rock rails (and without with a good spotter). It's located in Troy, NC and has a good variety of trails to run, ranging from easy to fairly difficult. IMO, the drive would definitely be worth it to some of you PA, NJ and VA guys. Let me know if anyone is interested. Trip will probably be late July/August (or possibly September/October).

Here's some video's of WhiteyBlackPW running some of the trails (not sure he's a member on here yet; I sent him a PM):

Sounds good to me man! I'm going to be down in Wilmington for school this year so I'll only be about 45 min from Jacksonville. We'll need to do some winter red fishing if you get the chance

We could really put the TSC tow strap to the test and I could pull you down.

Yep, I'm here. There are quite a few dates I've got things going. If I know ahead of time when you guys want to go I can move my schedule around. I have some temporary clearance issues I'm working on with my drive shafts but should be square in the next few weeks. Looking forward to some GTG's. Theres nothing like seeing full sizes on the trail.

Maybe you and I could get a quick September trip in and maybe I'll do another trip in November if it doesn't interfere with my duck hunting trips :lockedandloaded:

Msparks - where did the dents occur and where on the truck are they? I don't remember any carnage.
