Glad you travels have been safe. Man you are only 3 1/2 hours from me. You sound busy though.gun45boat wrote:My Phone number Is 407-310-9412. Got up Pokes Peak yesterday. Holy shit!!!!!! Is was amazing. Massive power loss in the engine at 12k feet. Willing to bet I lost at least 100hp or more at that altitude. But is was amazing!!!! Did both the trails around the lakes. Spent most the day there. Well worth it!!!!!! Incredible!!!!! I made it to Steamboat co and am getting ready to leave with my cousin Rory to summit Sand Mountain and get some climbing in on the faces around the area. I will be in Ouray/ Silverton area this Friday evening and will be doing the Alpine loop this weekend, then Telluride (black bear pass) next week.
If anyone wants to run the loop with me this weekend that would be Awesome!!!!

Sounds like you're having a good time! You could always upload your pics to photobucket and just give us the link to the album... With the photobucket app it's very easy to upload pics.

Awesome, be careful with that big storm ATLAS getting ready to hit you.
Re: The 6 week Power Wagon Adventure out west.
Snowing like crazy in Steamboat. Summited Sand mountain And south face. Did a few face climbs. Finger rock and devils backbone. Epic climbs. Missed a hitch and slammed my fucking knee while falling a good 10ft on a catch rope. Knee is pretty bad. But not detrimental. Just limping like a bitch. If the loop gets to much snow tonight I will be heading straight for Moab Tom. Will make phone call in the morning to see what's up in Silverton and make my decision from there. Got some great photogs of the dodge doing some great jeep trails around Clark, Co.

Good to here all is OK. When you get to MOAB, there's a shop called Gearheads out on Main Street in town where you can get free water refills inside. Just bring in your jugs or whatever you want and fill up. Don't forget you also have the Moab Brewery where you can get your reusable beer jug refilled as well. And if ya got the time Eddie McStiffs is a good place to get some grub.

Re: The 6 week Power Wagon Adventure out west.
WHats up fellas!!!!!!!!!! Just got back into town (I took a flight out of San Diego) But I am back in Orlando, Fl. I left the truck in San Diego at an "exotic Car storage warehouse" called AAAA Auto Storage. It is a nice facility and they are storing the Dodge inside in a climate controlled warehouse. THE TRIP WAS EPIC!!!!!!! But instead of driving it all the way back to ORlando Fl, I decided to leave it out west, and fly back out to hit up the KOH event in Febuary with my Son, THEN fly back out and do the Baja Pennisula in June/July. The Trip was amazing.... I hit up ALL the trails I wanted too. So here are my thoughts:
MOAB: They tamed everything down to a point that a Jeep on 33" tires could do almost EVERY trail in Moab EXCEPT PRITCHET CANYON!!!!!!!!!! I DROVE EVERY TRAIL IN MOAB.. Crazy scenic!!!! HOLY SHIT,,,, I did Pritchet Canyon BY MYSELF (I am still shocked I did it solo) WHAT AN EPIC TRAIL!!!!!!!!! I am surprised the Dodge was still in 1 piece after I finished, MANY high throttle assaults up rock faces/ledges, the trails were WICKED off camber, even the by-passes were more extreme than the trail itself... Best adrenaline rushes I have had in a long time... If it were not for Pritchett Canyon being so AWESOME, I would say I would be disappointed with Moab..... Area BFE on the other hand was EPIC!!!!!!!!!!
The Rubicon Trail: Well, Def. the most Beautiful trail on the trip.. the first 5 miles were easy (little sluice is a joke) but as soon as you get past Mile Marker 5 it gets pretty insane. BIG SLUICE IS EPIC!!!!!!!!!! I started at the South Entrance at Loon Lake, and drive all the way to the North EXIT. Took 5 days to complete. I stayed at Loon Lake, than a small lake, then Stayed at Spider Lake, Then at Buck Island, then stayed at the Jeep camp at the bottom of Cadillac Hill. Crushed BOTH doors in on the Rubicon Trail..
Fordyce Creek: HOLY FUCK ME!!!!!!!!! Most INSANE trail of the trip... Words cannot explain how crazy that trail is!!!!!!! I broke an Transmission mount and snapped a Rear Driveshaft Ujoint on this trail. EPIC!!!!!!! EPIC!!!!!!!!
Sorry I did not keep an updated trail report as my service was non-exsistant, then I found out I couldnt post pictures on the site (I phone Bullshit) So I said FUCK IT, I would just update when I got back. The truck (bless its heart) Took a STUPID amount of beatings... This truck held up the Entire time, with no complaints until Fordyce Creek.... Not a single leak, not a single breakage (lots of bent metal, and crushed in skid plates, and bent tie rods) But the damn thing did better than I EVER EXPECTED!!!!! GO DODGE for making a BULLET proof Drivetrain... there was a point I got in so deep on some rocks, ALL 4 WHEELS were bound up TIGHT, I dropped it in reverse with EVERYTHING locked up, and mashed the throttle, 460hp lit up for everything she had, and it didnt even turn a tire (that is how bound up the tires were on this bad spot on Fordyce......) and it didnt pop.... I figured I would have broken something doing that, but she held up....
anyways!!!!!!! Here are some pictures,,,, More to come... Thanks for following...
ALSO, A HUGE thanks to Carl for all the trail "heads Up" and secret spots on the TRT, thanks for all the info and texts Man!!!!!!!!
To the Awesome people I met in Moab, TRT, and Fordyce, THanks for everything, and I hope the hangovers were worth it LOL

Oh for the record, I flopped it 1 time on Fordyce.... On the passenger side. No Damage, but it was a Hard flop. I got some more pics of some more extreme stuff, I will post them up after my wife goes through them from the camera she loaned me for the trip (a real camera,,,,like the professionals use) SO I will post the good pics in the next few days. The Above pics are all from my gay Iphone.

I am looking for another Toyota if you know anyone that has a decent setup, kinda like this? Not looking for a completly riged Toy, but something I can take fairly cheap and then build from there.Cactus Red wrote:Nope, on the '87 Toyota rock crawler.
