Moab 2013

Post by ldgregory » Sun May 20, 2012 2:20 pm

I wanted to start this thread early to start discussing the condo thing. We really liked doing the condos instead of motels this year and I think everyone who wasn't in a condo for the 5th APWiM wished they had. We're going to need to book the condos really early to make sure we all get ones next to each other.

Long drive, but ask littletires, Pit Slave, RustyPW08 and Rgory whether it's worth it. Those guys have brutal drives too, but they've each been back twice.

I think most people worry too much about what they need for Moab. All you need to do is do it. But be for warned, you won't want to ever leave.

It was a little overwhelming the first time because of the unknown, ecspecially never wheeling terrain like that, but definitely worth the trip. The second time around was awesome. Got to know everybody a little better and had a better idea of the terrain. Makes for all around better experience. I agree with pit, just gotta do it!

I am impressed by all the east coast guys making the trek out to Utah. I will never complain abiut being six hours away from Moab ever again. Did anyone recal the age li it for the rafting trip putting in at Fisher Towers? My little one will be five next year.
Enjoy this life, cause it's all we're getting.

I used this with the GF for Rausch Creek. LOL She didn't think it was very funny.

Moab next year with me might be iffy. I've already got one vacation cruise planned with GF in Jan. Have to see how much time I have left after that.

Most likely the first weekend in May. That seemed to work out really well in terms of less daytime heat and fewer events going on in town. So, 2nd - 5th of May 2013. But I'm flexible so if we need to move that date around a little, that's fine.

Hey! Welcome to the forum!

Have your friend jump on board and reregister the '05 in his/her name. That way this site remains a true registry, and we cwn keep track of all PWs. Besides, we LIKE more friends on the forum!

You're absolutely welcome. Be forewarned that we're looking to do Pritchett Canyon as the tech trail this next trip. We were going to do it this past trip, but we wussed out.

And I'm an equal opportunity forum owner, you can say Dodgetalk.com on here!
