Great pics and video guys.
Question, are obstacles like Potato Salad Hill, Hell's Gate, Golden Crack etc. , part of the route or are they side trips along the trails ?

That's what I was going to say...some are bypasses to optional obstacles, some are on the trail w/ bypasses, some are right outside of town on no real trail.

They are mostly all annotated on google maps....

Potato Salad Hill is just an obstacle you drive to near Hell's Revenge. It's down a dirt road near a hiking trail. Hell's Gate, Escalator, Carwash etc are obstacles on Hell's Revenge trail but are all optional. Golden Crack is at the very end of Golden Spike trail (coming in from the Poison Spider Mesa side) and there is a bypass for it.

Most serious obstacles are either optional or have bypasses in Moab.

Yes, Charles A. Wells Guide to Moab, UT Backroads & 4-Wheel Drive Trails (2nd Edition)

For the GPSr folks, you can download for free all the trails in .GPX format (individually or all of them).

If you want to use the .GPX files on your iPhone/iPad, get GPS Kit (RouteTracker for Android I haven't used this, but it says it supports .GPX files). Additionally, You can get EveryTrail Pro (Android) which has nice trail guides and you can download many of the Moab trails for free in it.

Not yet. Haven't had time to crawl under and check the wiring end to end. I'm pretty sure that's where the problem is.

Not to speak out of turn or start a future thread too soon but I plan on going to the 50th EJS, which is 2016... hoping that it somewhat coincides with the PW get together. .. any body seeing that far ahead? I'm thinking hopefully leave mid week to hit friday (maybe Thursday) of EJS with my CJ and stay the next week for the PW meet. Are they going to be that close?

Right now, the earliest possibility would be, maybe the weekend of June 7th/8th. Maybe. I'm still traveling back and forth to Farmington on my days off, but we should be completely moved down by June 4th. I'll let you know.
