I posted this a while ago. I assume it still applies-

Random ideas...

Corn bread for Saturday dinner
Coffee for, well, coffee
Home fries/potatoes for breakfast

Add paper towels, napkins, plastic utensils,

If you want to look back, you may come up with something. There are lists everywhere.

If you bring something, it can be made!

I made it home ok, as well. I had a blast, too. It was a great time, lots of fun, and most of all, spent it with great people! I am honored to know you all!

Saturday night's seafood boil was delicious. Loved it! ANd that banana flambe that Stephanie made, with Christine's home made ice cream, was awesome!!

Sunday I stupidly high centered over a tree stump. I think I got distracted following Brad in front me to avoid it (between a slight headache drinking a little the night before, and a phone call I just hung up on), caused me to not look and drove right over it. Oh well.  Thanks for the help getting me out of it by building up the stones. I have a video on it that Stephanie took with my phone. Thanks, Stephanie! I wound up bending the skid plate. I like Peter's idea to take it off and drive over it to straighten it out! LOL!! :cash: :cash: :cash:

I also have a new noise, I think either a serpentine belt or bearing. :cash: :cash:

Mac, sorry about Snowflake's rammed sidewalled and her rammed tail pipe! More :cash:

And yea, Mike (Tonka), got my last step! LOL!!! I'm currently searching Google for a replacement until I can coordinate with Russ about hooking me up with nerf bars and getting them welded on locally. More :cash: :cash: :cash:

Russ, Christine, Peter, Stephanie, Mac, Mike Taylor, Big Bill, and Mike Markis, it was a pleasure seeing you and trailing with you again. And Mike Markis, meeting your kids, Mike Taylor, meeting your lovely wife, Kathy, and Brad, meeting your lovely girlfriend. I hope we can all do it again in September.

Speaking of September, I have a wedding to go to and a swap meet to attend that month. Depending on how it goes, and the weekend, might be able to swing by....

Damage assessment:

Driver side fuel tank skid plate is pushed up against the tank. I asked a couple friends about removing it and straightening out by driving over it, as Peter suggested, but I got some dumb looks saying that is high grade stamped steel requiring an industrial press.

The 3 passenger side skid rails are damaged. They were rusted and weak anyway, so they will need replacement.

Trackbar frame mount is loosened up. That was the loud squeeking I heard on the driver side. I've always had problems with that thing. It was difficult driving home on the highway due to the truck being so unstable and all over the road. It's the old Carli design, so I may replace that with the new TRE design (I believe it's a TRE style?) instead of constantly swapping out bushings. That's another $400 or so.

1. Fuel tank skid plate (P/N 52121265-AB):
$225.60 + Shipping & Handling to USA: $32.95 = $258.55
http://www.moparone.com/p/Dodge__/Fuel- ... 265AB.html

2. Three skid rails, passenger side. (P/N 52121534AA)
3x $46.32 = $138.96 + Estimated Shipping: $18.06 + Handling Fee $2.00 = Total $159.02
https://www.parts.com/index.cfm?fuseact ... SKID-PLATE

3. Transfer shifter rod linkage retainer bushing. Peter used a wire tie to hold it. Probably a $10 part. I don't have the P/N yet.

4. Wining sound under the hood when I give it gas. Probably an idler pulley or some other bearing. I think that was from the mud puddles! Part and price TBD.

5. Carr side step snapped. My last one! Carr no longer makes this step.

This was the most expensive trip for me so far. :cash: :cash: :cash: :cash: :cash:

Luckily, I don't have a brand new PW!

You should be able to bend the fuel skid plate back down correct? I really don't think they used a very special steel for the skids, it's probably regular 1018 or maybe something a touch fancier. A pair of pliers should work, I've heard of several guys having this happen. Sounds like you used your truck well!

Ace. you do NOT need a new fuel tank skid plate! You can bend it back out with a large crescent wrench and a piece of pipe on the end of it for leverage. Don't even have to remove tit from the truck.

Are you talking about the 3 bars on the frame that go front to rear?

On the trackbar. Are you talking about the bushing in the bar that is loose, or the trackbar frame mount it's self?

When is the last time you have replaced the idler pulleys?

The fuse for the hot water tank was a small 20 amp located in the bedroom. It blew when the squirrel cage for the front furnace came apart. Both are on the same 12v control circuit. The motorhome got so many different electrical systems I'm loosing count.
