Calling all central Florida PW owners

To be exact 2006-2009 and 2010-2014 PW owners in the Orlando area please PM me as I am working on a vendor project and need a bit of help. I don't know if it will pan out but I'm at step 2 and it looks promising so far. I finally got to the gate keeper and raised his interest so it is on to step 2. I need to see if it is possible to get test PWs to him.

If you are close but not in Orlando and willing to take a trip to Orlando that's fine too.

The Trail Dash 2 will...
1) Lock or unlock your lockers at any time in any order.
2) Disconnect the sway bar any time or any speed.
3) Disable the traction control. Possibly ABS too.
3) Set axle ratio.
4) Set tire size.
5) Set tire pressure threshold on TPM system.
6) Monitor transmission temperature.
7) Alarms for thresholds on various PIDS.
8) Set fast Idle for winching etc.

Much more, but only if we can get them to look into it for our PW the 3/4 ton Rubicon pickup.

My fault entirely! I'm trying to entice them with dreams of bigger profits. With the 05 being very different I figured it was counter intuitive to the ultimate goal to add a one off application.

That said, once their roped in and tied to the concept, I believe their greed for profits will rule. Then the 05 as well as the 15-16 will become important to them. I just didn't want to torpedo the possible adoption of a new application with a solo application.

I've been trying for some time to get through the gate keepers and just barely got to a gate keeper last week. Getting past the consumer support level has been nearly impossible. Every time you guys mention the locker bypass or sway bar disconnect I get motivated again and call either sales or tech support. Last week I broke through and got a name and an E-mail address for the marketing guy that we need to motivate/solicit. Before that, all I ever got was I'll let my boss/team leader know. The Team leader I got last week said he was interested but had never heard of a Power Wagon. I did my best to give him a good mental picture of the Power Wagon and he forwarded my call up the chain. When I finally talked to a development team member, he thought it was a good idea but said getting a demo truck to confirm that porting of the jeep features is even possible. This was his first concern. So I'm trying to address that first. He is going to to talk with the powers that be but if there is no demo truck then in reality I'm just wasting their time. The seed has been planted however.

Calling is futile unless you accidentally get a boss filling in for missing technical support team member like I did last week. E-mailing them may help but I never got a response back from their generic support e-mail address. Be sure to mention the Power Wagon forum and to what lengths and expense we have gone to get the very same features they provide in the Trail Dash Rubicon model.

I would also hint that they already have the Ram 2500 tuner application and the Ram 5.7L in general is a huge market. Suggesting that the hard work of creating the features for the Rubicon Trail Dash with the electronic locker and sway bar features are already done. Suggest that It could be as simple as just porting the Rubicon features over to an all new Ram truck specific Trail Dash that uses the Rubicon features for the Ram Power Wagon. I don't think they ever realized that the Ram Power Wagon has the exact same basic electronic accessories as the Rubicon so stressing that may motivate them to explore the possibility.

The real issue however is going to be our providing demo trucks for them to probe. Should someone be willing to provide a truck for them, please be sure to mention it in your e-mail. That being said I found out the Tundra Guys are doing the same thing I'm talking about but with very little luck bending anyone's ear at Superchips. Everyone I have talked to has never heard of a Power Wagon so making that connection with the Ram truck is going to be critical!

May I hint that Orlando is a great Vacation destination to take the family????????????

I was however clear that the PW was available in 2005 thru to current year 2016. Being that there were major changes and there was a chance it could end up a sub category with the old CAN system it used. My tuner does 2006 to 2010 Dodge Ram 2500s so there is something different 2005 and older. I figured if we got a working model then simply ordering one and testing it would be a simple exercise the 2005 owner could do. The tuner may not work on a 2005 but the Rubicon features may. Keep it if it works or return it if it doesn't was my thought.

The 2015 and 2016 is impossible at this point because they have yet to break into the Dodge ECM to be able to program one yet. They are working on it however.

PS: This was the Idea I spoke of when I said I had an idea of as a better way to disconnect the sway bar at any speed, even in 2wd. It just was looking hopeless until last week.

If I was still living in Utah I'd volunteer to take my PW over to Ogden to let Jarrod check it out in person. Sadly, my PW and I are about as far away from Florida as we can get, and mine is a '15 so I'm not in any way useful as a demo truck.

If it's the same system as the Rubicon, do you think it might simply work if plugged in? I'm building our house right now but will be done by late spring. I'll be able to get up with them then for sure, just can't do it now unless they want to come to me. It's only about 4 hours but I seriously can't get away for a few days right now. I suppose I could rent a truck and drop mine off to them but there will need to be some good time lines established to so. I would also have to put everything back to factory because I have bypassed the smartbar.

I don't think there are any vehicle operations in Utah but I'm not positive. Utah is the location of the parent company PowerTeq. The link below kinda confirms this. At the bottom it says "(Central Florida Only)".

I keep watching for our Power Wagon to show up but nothing yet.
