They’re a lot cheaper than the Toyos.

Re: 2010 Improvements

You can see the bite marks from previous settings, this locked the joints down, cleaning is a must. Leaving a pile of grease in there will let the joints slip and pop and wear things out. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20190208/3a2de6a42899dbc1521b7a9289d008b4.jpg https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com...

Re: Ever get in a shoot out with terrorists and need to launch your rocket pack?

Made me cringe! Who pulls out their pistol and puts their hand over the end of the barrel. I stopped watching there. I carry every day and I wonder if he has ever fired a gun or if his whole act is a gimmick to make money. Someday he will be on one of those videos of "what not to do" when he shoots...

Re: What came with your 2018

Yeah, I didn’t mention the second key because that’s a given. Buy new truck, get two keys.

My truck has keyless enter and go, came with two fobs and two “dumb” keys, so four keys in total.

Re: What came with your 2018

The book you get with the truck is an owner's GUIDE, not manual. The manual is seven or eight hundred pages. You have to download the PDF, it's an easy google to find it. You should have a winch hook (may or may not be attached to the cable, depending on your dealer), winch remote, 2.5" x 2" hitch a...

3/4" shackles for single line pulls
7/8" shackles for double line pulls and snatches
Anything bigger is a waste of space and weight

Re: Correct Recovery?

so if I get a higher rated winch extension can I then use it for a double line pull? I really only planned to use the snatch strap for others, wanted to have it on hand. Guess it would be wise though to spend the extra coin and get a rated pull for this truck. I’ve got some barbaric ideas on how to...

Picked up an ARB 17.5k snatch strap ARB 30k snatch block ARB 17.6K winch extension strap ARB 10’ tree saver strap. 17.5k snatch strap - undersized for your truck. You could use this for snatch recoveries of lighter vehicles, but another HD truck recovering your HD truck could break this strap. Thei...

Re: Correct Recovery?

You absolutely need a winch anchor. Pull-pal or the tools and materials to make a good old fashioned dead man. Naturally occurring anchors have a funny habit of not being there when you need one. You need to be aware that winching forward isn’t always a good idea, and solo it can be hard to go any d...

Re: New 2005 Power Wagon Owner

Transfer case position sensor is a good place to start looking.

The lockers and sway bar need to know the truck is in 4LO to work, so a faulty TCPS will throw errors and prevent that stuff from working right.

Re: ARB solenoids and reliability/longevity

Just a quick google suggests you’re feeding it higher pressure air than most. Don’t know what the solenoid is rated to, but I found a survey on Pirate asking about ARB locker pressure, and most respondents were 80-100 psi. If you keep having trouble, I’d put a regulator in. Re: Sliders

I went with wk sliders. Drilling all those holes in the body to mount the aluminess ones scared the hell out of me. The rockers would be swiss cheese in no time around here with all the road salt in the winter. The aluminess offer a lot more ground clearance per se, but really the wk ones dont hang...

Re: $90,000 Ram 3500

The Ram shareholders’ report from a year or two ago did note that they are priced comparatively lower than Ford or GM, and their goal is to get the price up. Obviously there would be backlash if they just bumped prices up to close the gaps all at once, or without adding or improving anything for the...

Looks like the guy who welded mine is still in business and relocated from Farmington. I don’t have his contact info any more, unfortunately.

Send it back. Nobody makes a kit stout enough for an 8000+ lbs truck, especially not for $180.

Re: Thuren Overland Suspension Compared to Stock Suspension

Great demo video for somebody considering a Thuren suspension. Thanks for sharing, Mike. I’d have liked to see him spend some time on the rear track bar. It’s a big upgrade, especially for his overlanding audience that likes to put weight up high. He also mentioned that rear Boogies aren’t compatibl...

I guess I'd be fine with either, but will go with WK. the biggest obstacle now is convincing the wife that I need a $1000 mod on my truck. Some mods are easy to hide, but not this one haha.
