I love the Maximum Steel color. It was on my short list when I was getting my 2018. I pin-stripe my truck so often off-road, I figured the silver wouldn't show it as bad as a darker color.

I like the way it changes engine braking. I use it off-road if 4 hi frequently.

Coyote Flats were on my to-do list this summer. So far I haven't made. I will likely be in Papoose flats very soon though.

There are bushings you can buy to strengthen the grab handle. I added those after I went through a couple of replacement handles.

I live in Ridgecrest and we have been feeling every one of them.

I got the dual alternators specifically for winching. I've been off road a lot lately, but I must be doing something right, because the winch isn't getting any use. If I get a chance to cut some firewood in the National Forrest soon, I'll definitely be using the winch then.

Agreed. I can't help but think how much better full-sized trucks became after the introduction of the Tundra.

Page 368 through 370 on the 2018 manual. Make sure you are below 3mph. Unless I am actually scrambling over something, I usually have to do some S turns to get the front to lock.

Hill Descent Control does not work at all on the 2018s. Apparently, it is a know issue and is incorporated in the cruise control recall.

I didn't think the tailgate recall applied to 2018?

I don't know how much I will use it, but I want the Hill Descent Control to work on my truck. That is a fix on the 2018 trucks with the cruise control recall. It is 1.5 hours to the nearest dealer. One won't return my messages. The other can't get me in for about a month.
