Re: 35's fit on stock 2014 and later Power Wagon?
Also, what is the width of an OEM 2015 Power Wagon Wheel? Is it 8 or 8.5"? My understanding is that they are 17x8 with 6" of back spacing Thank you very much for your replies. Your truck is what triggered my interest in the 37s on my factory 15 PW. If you're correct on the 17x8 size of my wheel a s...

Don told me the same thing. My 37" RTS will be here next week. Anyone want a set of OEM wheels and tires with only 400 miles on them?

Re: Wheel hop, axle wrap...
You can do a search on google and youll find thousands of posts from ford to chevy about this same thing running on the beach and in snow with d or e rated tires. Everyone one of them came to the same conclusion air down to 20 or below. BTW, those who say "poserwagon" are jealous that they have suc...

Re: Wheel hop, axle wrap...
Wheel hop is usually caused by changing pinion angle, poorly designed geometry, or incorrect shock valving / insufficient dampening. Tires, traction, and driving surface just conceals or exaggerates the condition. My guess is you have all three problems; large rubber bushings, unequal length control...

Pure Performance makes rear control arms if you want to eliminate the large rubber isolators.

Re: Couple of technical questions from a potential PW owner
Very true. I'm not sure what the threshold is. I set my tires at 50.5 heated and the computer was ok. When the tires cooled they dropped to 49psi and the messages started. I think the threshold is 50 but you have to air back up into the 60+ range to reset the computer. I have to do more research to...

Re: Couple of technical questions from a potential PW owner
285/70R17 Duratrac has a max weight rating of 3195lb at 65psi per tire. Assuming a 55/45 bias front to rear with 7500lb total weight, you're less that 1700lb over each back tire and less than 2200lb over each front tire. If you're running Duratracs your tires are over inflated with 60psi unloaded.

Re: Couple of technical questions from a potential PW owner
I don't know what is on other trucks but the Duratracs that came with my truck have a max PSI of 65. 60psi is over inflated for an unloaded truck. I have them at 50 but realistically 40 to 45 is probably better. I left them at 50 hoping the TPMS wouldn't complain but since I'm getting an error messa...

I had Trxus STS Radials on a Jeep and they were cooked in 10k miles. I had Trxus MT's on the same jeep and they were good for about 25k miles. I doubt I'll ever put another set of Swampers on a vehicle that is intended for the street.

That's the part I really have a problem with. I'm sure they're going to want a full hour too.waldo wrote:
My 16 came with 70+ lbs in the tires too. I dropped them to 60 until I can get it back to have them reset it. I hate having to pay for it though.

Re: Couple of technical questions from a potential PW owner
Snowsled had me talked out of buying a new Poser Wagon. Realistically I can build an equivalent but it would cost more (roughly $5k more) using aftermarket suspension, ARB's, and a Warn winch/bumper combo. I bought the Poser Wagon though because I really don't plan to use the truck the way some of y...

I like it, looks better than the Rebel. Blacked out bumpers and grill really go well with the black projector lights.
