Re: 2006 Power Wagon Build

The truck drives amazing and I'm really glad I dropped the cash. Before the repairs I had a noise coming from the driver side wheel at low speeds. Now that the repairs are done, no more noise. I am pretty sure the unit bearings were ready for replacement. Everything feels much tighter on the front e...

Re: 2006 Power Wagon Build

My 20006 PW has just turned about 62,000 miles, so I figured it was time to do some preventative maintenance. Dynatrac ball joints installed, new wheel hub unit bearings, replaced pinion seals and Royal Purple in the both diffs. I really wanted to go with a free spin kit up front, but couldn't justi...

Tucson to be exact. I'd love to head down and update my computer/shift points for the 37" tires if it won't cause any issues. Beers and food are on me. Maybe we could do a little off road run down in your neck of the woods too. Sure no problem. A free meal is not needed though as I am glad to just ...

Re: Need Your Help

I spent over a year looking for my Power Wagon. I wanted a 3rd GEN with low miles. I am glad I was patient and recommend you do the same.

Re: 315/70/17's on 2014 PW - stock wheels - no rub :)

Mine is a 2009 and I used my Autoenginuity program to do it not a programmer. Yes the program is expensive but I needed it for side jobs. I'm updated to 2011 and will do any PW member for free. Newer than 2011 I will need to purchase an update and would only charge for the update that I have to pay...

I am in Montana visiting family. The temperature hit -18 at around 1:00 pm yesterday near Bozeman. I am glad I live in Arizona. We have quite a few people from Arizona on the forum......we should organize an off road run.

Re: 2006 Power Wagon Build

I forgot where I got my "kit" If I remember correctly, I think I paid $160 +/- I will look through my receipts to find out. But yes,,, made a big difference in pedal feel AND braking effect,, Honestly I bet I felt about a 15% improvement.. The stock rubber lines that run from the "hardlines" from t...

Re: 2006 Power Wagon Build

My brakes are still stock. It definitely lost a little stopping power with the 37's. It doesn't bother me though. it just means a little more defensive driving.

Welcome to the forum. Yea, the tail pipes got to go. You'll end up smashing them into the quarter panel. It's on the list of things to do. Pretty low on that list though. Use the rig a lot more as a tow vehicle than offroad vehicle. Hitched up my trailer this evening, replace grease plugs and retor...

Re: Power Wagon Picture Thread

Some tweeker thought it might be nice to break into my Power Wagon. He broke into my company car and 8 more cars in my neighborhood too. I was out scouting spots to hunt the weekend before, so I had my Garmin Montana 650T in the truck with hunting maps. The tweeker got away with the GPS and my range...

What are you scouting for? I am itching to hunt after my trip to Wyoming in October. I am probably going to start predator hunting to scratch that itch. Just that ... Some new predator hunting areas. I wanted to find some plains areas with some rocky outcroppings ... Found 'em! Let me know if you a...
