Re: Stuck In Fernley, NV.

Nice work, Ben. Perseverence, and all that. At least it was the pump, and not the box. That would be tought to change in the WalMart lot by yourself.

Good luck and enjoy the rest of your trip!

Re: I'll be in the Philly area on 10/2

Wait, are you telling me that "10" is October, not November??? Have I been celebrating the wrong date for 21 years??? That explains alot...

But seriously, I reread the title and realized it's next week, not November, so ... Still maybe. Lol.

Son of a ... You would pick my anniversary to show up in my town. Let me see what I can put together.

I was born and raised in Lansdale. However, I haven't heard of RT Tuning. I'll look them up. I'll be in touch.

Re: Lifting with blocks?

No. The blocks we have in the rear already (may) cause axle wrap, then wheel hop. If you are lifting it more with taller blocks, the problem gets worse.

As far as spacers, the prices I have heard for quality parts are close to the cost of taller coils. Why not just replace the coils?

Re: Alternator Issues?

I have had zero battery isssues and the battery is 3 years old. Sorry I don't have any advice but I thought I'd throw this out there, no charging issues and I'm still using the ORIGINAL battery which is SEVEN years old now :o . Go figure. That's funny- I replaced my stock, original battery in June ...

But the strange part is that it has the bracket for a front stabilizer skid plate.

Off Road package, maybe? It has the stabilizer still connected to the Y steering.

Chris, The 35s will rub the control arm(s) at full lock on most stock PWs. That is, is you are talking about 12.50 wide. Some report no rubbing. Mine is stock, and they rub the lower, and just graze the upper arm. The lugs on the sidewalls make it sound worse than it is. 3g and 4g are similar, but t...

Re: Labor Day - where did your PW take you?

Glenn and Mark- LOVE the sigs! I camp ALOT, but I need to know where to go to find the "campsites" that you guys frequent. Are you in state or national parks? Private property? In the state forests that I am familiar with (PA), you need to notify the ranger if you are going to park a rig in the PARK...

Re: Rock Rails

Just to clarify, I agree that nerfing the sliders is a great idea. One full length nerf/step is more functional, because it will allow the truck to slide off/over rocks. It will also keep the sheetmetal that much farther from the big nasty rocks!

Re: Why do people complain about these trucks so much?

My latest gripe is that I tried to beat an F250 2WD away from a Border Patrol checkpoint and I couldn't get by him. A quick shot of nitrous would have made the truck perfect at that moment in time. You horse-power junkie! Like we all need a 500hp motor with 500ftlbs of torque. Umm,....

Re: Rock Rails

The double step idea just gives you a place to get hung up. Doesn't look functional.

I don't like that they welded the tube bracket to the frame without a plate to spread the load over a wider area.

What size/type/guage tube did they use?

Do you mean tow hook or winch hook? I have a feeling you mean winch. I think the dealer would do it during prep, but it's only a pin and cotter pin. I would just do it.
