Re: The "Real Reliability"
First, I would not drive a Chevy, it would not survive me and that Limited Slip locker is an insult to 4x4 kind, and reliability is the first reason I did not buy a Raptor. And yes, I am sure the 19 is better. I actually sat back and watched disastrous design flaws like front suspension components, ...

The "Real Reliability"
Now over 2 years and 58K miles into my first American vehicle. My last, a 2005 Nissan Titan saw only a poorly designed gas cap holder and bad front brake design ( too small a rotor warping) fixed under warranty, and tires not meant for the vehicle. While the Ram is so much more advanced, you expect ...

Re: Axle unlock flashing orange
Well my front sway bar disconnect has actually never worked, I gave up on that. Guess they use a terrible connector that comes loose, gets dirt in it, ect, ect. Never worked, not even when I bought it, dealer fixed under warranty and charged me one time. I don't do a ton of real wheeling and you don...

Re: Cable comes off drum
Was interesting how the connector got crushed by the cable. Problem is when the connection is broken the cable will sort of spring back sometimes and pop off, even with 6 wraps on the spool. Of course I need synthetic line, that will come. But not my first winch to lose the cable on over the years. ...

Cable comes off drum
This is something that will happen to all winch owners, its only a matter of when. Some winch cables are attached with a little chewed bubble gum, or a cheesy little clip.( the latter takes forever to get put back on) This seemingly absurd connection is unfortunate, but done for a simple reason. The...

Re: Axle unlock flashing orange
If yours engage regularly, you are way ahead of 2018 and prior owners. Our front ones rarely engaged with out modification. Disengaging issues are simply a matter of removing the tension from the axles. That will be a problem with any manual lockers.

I believe the 19s may be different as well. I was hoping they re-designed them to work.

I use mine, mostly getting in the garage. But I do get one on the front that will just go off in the morning and say please wipe, then work later.

Interest in a 4 Corners Recovery Group
Vehicle Recovery groups are growing in the West and some great ones have been operating for a few years, such as on the Front Range of the Rockies. Both the growth of OHV as a hobby and the proliferation of AWD hatch back cars getting stuck off road in places they don't belong, has created a real de...

Re: Does your sunroof leak?
Mine only leaked once....I left it vented going into a car wash. The clearance lights are apparently a problem. I had mine in for an a free oil change once and they replaced them all under warranty with out telling me, was on invoice....So something to that.

Re: New appreciation for my truck
I would appreciate a little more if it came with 35’s but hey what’s another $1500. We just took a 3000 mile trip to the smoky mountains instead of my wife’s Durango because of the extra space( and hopes to go wheelin’ it cost a little more in fuel but it was worth the confort. Never no when you ha...

Re: October is expensive truck month, part 2
My Km3s lasted about 42K, better then the Duratrash at 12K, and no flats. The problem I see is if you do a lot of highway as I do they wear down fast, need to go less aggressive tread, and possible harder compound for highway. I am thinking of Nitto Ridge Grapplers next.

Re: 12K up Million Dollar Highway
I have no doubt the 8spd would help. When I was screaming, or lugging at around 35mph at times, I could have made better torque with one additional gear. The thing is I believe my future load will be even a little heavier when I retire with dump trailer and CTL. Might be time to upgrade to a newer P...

12K up Million Dollar Highway
Towed a Compact Track Loader, heavy Takahuchi thing up to my property for the first time. Heaviest load yet for the PW and I must say, it handled it like nothing, no real squat. However, 410HP feels like nothing screaming up those passes at 35MPH!

I did Black Bear/ Imogene Loop Labor Day weekend, that was a hoot. Spent last few days getting stalled road building project on my land up there moving again. Hopefully can still get it all done before too much snow flys.

Re: 2018 Transmission Failure
I have to admit, if my transmission goes out under 250K or so I would likely never buy a Ram again. Its just not normal on a modern truck.

Re: 2018 Transmission Failure
Isn't the transmission flushed at 100K plus? This is the kind of stuff that scares me on Rams. Mines has done some weird things, but performs normally most of the time.

Re: Do you keep your rain sense wipers on all the time?
I forget mine are on many times, then all the sudden it rains a little and I reach to turn them on and too late. Its pretty rare that mine will fire off randomly for no reason. Wonder if yours has a tuning issue, or like waldo said basically the speed is the sensitivity. I will say bug splatters in ...
