Re: 2006 QC G56 PowerWagon Puller
That's why I'm dragging my feet..... If I could get a new one with the options I want, I'd just toss a supercharger on it....

Re: 2006 QC G56 PowerWagon Puller
I know repair costs on BMW's are high!! So no worries from me on that!! My 2005 cummins dually, I ran 35's on that. Could get up to 22 mpg on the highway. Towing was always in the low teens, at the worst. I've really thought of getting a new dually with the 6.4 HEMI.... Just worried that it's too mu...

Agree to that..... I think that's why the lift and 37's came off and turned into a pulling truck!!!!

No worries on the derail. I just think for the price for a new truck ($50k+) it should get better mileage then a $4000 truck from the '70's

Seems the 2010-2013 without def do the worst. Mine is fully deleted and tuned. I just think turning 6-35" tires doesn't help very much....

Make sure winch powers in and out. All skid plates there. Like you said, lockers, sway bar.....
Other then that. Normal used truck test drive.

Just took it on a 50+ mile cruise tonight. 13.9 mpg on 2.79 premium gas. Better then my 2012 cummins getting 12 mpg on 3.89 diesel!!

Re: 2006 QC G56 PowerWagon Puller
23k as a roller. For 25k I'll put a 5.7 (that my engine builder will go through, to make sure all is good)
Could talk about putting a 10.5 back in, so could use factory locker again.

Countrystrong, here's the link to the sale ad. If you are not interested in the 6.1, a 5.7 can go back in it every easily.
Truck has been stored the past 2 winters. No rust on the truck.

I did remove my front bumper when I pulled mine.... That might be why I'm thinking that.....
Then again.... This was years ago.... And my memory isn't what it used to be. Lol

I would try just getting the mount loosely bolted in first. Make it a lot easier to work with. The bolt the winch on. Just my $.02

If you go forced induction, about 7 lbs is going to be the limit on stock (motor) parts. Some kits don't come with intercoolers, even if they do need them.

Re: Need factory winch mount
I have everything. Left and right frame brackets, winch bracket, winch, cable, control, bolts etc. Pulled it off my truck a few years ago. Moved and it's currently sitting, not sure if I will get around to putting it back on. Not sure I want to sell the mount, but I guess PM me if you are intereste...

Re: 2006 QC G56 PowerWagon Puller
It's not going to sell...... I ordered a few new parts for the motor. Not going to build the 440 yet, since work is going to be crazy busy this year.
But new parts and more power are in the near future!!!!
If I would sell it, it'll be a roller, or just the motor.

The 4th gen cabs are a lot better for car seats. And I feel they have a smoother ride, and quiter in the cab.
If it's in your budget, it's never bad to upgrade!!
