Re: Anyone keep track of their trucks lifetime avg fuel mile

I averaged 18 mpg on a trip last week. About 500 miles, although much of it was between 45 and 55 mph (drove to Yellowstone and toured around for a couple days and drove home) and I spend the extra $ for premium so I can get fuel without ethanol which seems to just about pay for itself with the imp...

Re: How tall is a BFG 34x10.50r17? Not 34

Regardless, BFG tires are notorious for running small. The new 37's dont even measure 36", and my 35's barely measured 34". That is with NO WEIGHT of a vehicle on the tire. Put 40's on it then, hahaha Yeah, exactly. Its no issue as long as you get the next size tire up. If you want a true 35, get t...

Yeah, I just got my truck this Friday afternoon. I will post some pics when I get a few free seconds. This weekend has been a little hectic.

But I am excited as a pig rolling in shet!

Re: 4.88

Also, is there a tuner of some sort out yet to get the speedo back to reading correct (assuming that you are not evening it back out with larger tires right off the bat)? I know with an auto jeep and a gear swap, the damn things go right into limp mode and cant drive until the computer is reprogramm...

Not sure where you're going to rent the spring compressors, but if you find someplace with one big enough for our coils please share where you got it! I tried 3 or 4 different places a few years back and no one had an appropriately sized tool. Good luck AD can't wait to hear your thoughts on the ge...

Yes, I have all the correct bearings, install kits, and gears. Now I just need to find a shop willing to install it. The diff shop near me called today and said they'd rather not work on my truck because they aren't confident they can do it correctly with the tools they have on hand....I've been lo...

Re: TRUCK-TREND AEV 1st DRIVE

I actually have an AEV Prospector on order. A third of the miles on my truck are spent towing, and I prefer the diesel engine. I actually prefer the diesel even when not towing. I wasn't a fan of coil rear springs on the 1/2 ton trucks, and I'm not any more of a fan of coil springs on the rear of a...

The gears whined like crazy too. It was a Jeep so you couldn't turn the radio up loud enough to drown out the noise.

I'm planning on doing gears in the near future and will be using AAM.
You got your jeep to do a burnout?!

Re: 2015 level kit installed

I am fairly certain that it is 2.5" over stock PW. The guy who had thuren diesel coils was about 45" from ground to fender (he had 37s too) and for comparison, another truck with 37s on stock PW suspension measured 42 1/2" ground to fender...the diesel coils are designed to lift the 2500 diesel by ...

Its 2.5" over a stock ram... probably 3/4" over a PW.
