Re: Chains, I'm from Florida, so ...
Yeah, if there's an avalanche that road's gonna close while the state/county/whoever clears it. You won't need to chain up to climb over a mountain of snow, rocks and tree limbs. I'd hold off on chains until you run into a situation where you would need them, then decide if that situation will be co...

Re: What to do when you see a abandonned car on the trail?
Contact the state or federal agency that manages the land. They probably won't help get it off the trail, but if you can get it to the road they will likely help get rid of it. A 4x4 club up here in Alaska did something similar with 2 trucks left on state land last year. Sent from my iPhone using Ta...

Re: 2017 PW Build & Price Available Now
The Laramie PW build and price is still a little confused. No dual alt. option and it thinks the wheels are 18" alloys. I checked the SLT build and price, and dual alts is still an option, and I've seen (online) a 2017 Laramie PW on a lot with the same PW wheels they've had since the last change.

Ok cool. Thanks for the reassurance. Also, as a side note, I don't have a manual so can't "RTFM" lol You can download the whole manual as a PDF from the mopar website. When you want to look something up, use the Find function (CTRL+ F). It's way easier than a paper manual. The only "downside" is th...

Re: Power outlet ?'s
The dash 115V outlet has built-in overload protection. You can just keep adding strings of LED's until you kill it, then take one or two out and you're good to go! I want to see pictures of the Christmas Wagon. Like TwinStick says, "RTFM".

Re: Reloaderguy's Mod Thread
Heck yea! Im sure most of the improvement is from the added length of the new bar. The original angle is quite flat in stock location. The length of the bar and the joints are the improvements, yes. The angle indicator shows how flat the bar is and how little the axle will move side to side. Also, ...

Re: In-bed tool box space & cargo management
In my old work truck, I made dividers using 1x6 and ply wood leftovers from tools crates (takes up less space than 2x_'s. I also had a couple of plastic ammo cans for keeping small items clean and organized. It was probably the most organized tool box in the oil patch. Sent from my iPhone using Tapa...

Does anyone know with 100% certainty that the 110 outlet that Ram is putting in the dashboard is MSW? I'm 99.5% sure it is, but I'm no expert.

Re: Power Wagon Trim Levels
You can build a new 2017 Laramie on http://www.ramtrucks.com right now so they are taking orders I would assume, the other models are not showing, it also you to select 18" wheels on a 2017 Laramie PW I wander if this is an error on the site or a real option. I think there are some errors on the PW...

Canadian pesos. Also, they mixed up the dash buttons because they added front park sensors, and had to add the "off" button for them to the panel. That's the only difference I could find.

I thought the '17 laramie came with that new grill (but chrome bumper) and the big RAM on the tailgate... no? Here's a 2017 Laramie for sale. Same ol' thing. http://www.kootenaychryslerdealer.com/new/Ram/2017-Ram-2500+Power+Wagon-233fd7580a0e0ae77a9505503080c8f3.htm Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Re: Colour Help 2017
I think there are some problems with the US PW Laramie build and price website. I went through it the other day and didn't have the dual alt option, and it said the wheels were 18"x8" like you'd see on a normal 2500 Laramie. Yooper, here's a pic of my 2015 "Western brown", which I'm pretty sure is t...

Phantom, do you have music on CD's that you want to listen to, with no intentions of ever having in any other format? I can't think of the last time I listened to music off a CD, and CD's as a media format are getting less and less relevant every year. There are lots of other ways to get music in th...

Re: Front axle disconnect?
It's definitely not worth the small mpg gain for the customer (IMO) but, 100% worth it for Ram in terms of helping them to meet C.A.F.E. (corporate average fuel economy) standards. On an individual consumer basis, I can't imagine the electrical and mechanical complexity added and the compromise to ...

Re: Front axle disconnect?
The center axle disconnect has never caused me any problems on my 2015, but some see it differently. It is one more thing to break, and it's also the reason we lost our front axle skid plate that protected the steering stabilizer. On the plus side, the CAD makes it really easy to grease the front dr...

One more thing I forgot about my cross bars... They start whistling at 70-75 mph when they're empty. It's not unbearable, but it is noticeable. I didn't think of it because I don't have many opportunities to drive that fast, so it's not really an issue for me.

15' PW 1500 RPM Stumble
I get the low RPM stumbles occasionally, usually when creeping through construction areas or slowly nosing the truck up/around switchbacks on mountain roads. I use the shifter knob to force the truck into a lower gear and that lines it out.
