Re: PWJouster's Build - 2018 Power Wagon "TrailWhale"

I don't get the whole ADAPT thing.. however if you want to have that kind of control...degrees of light are degrees of light and lumens dependent mainly on reflector and LED type. You want a flood/spot/superspot (for 100mph driving offroad :D ). The D2's provide massive flood and driving. Another sm...

Diff fluid change? Rookie help.

Personally I’d never use anything to ‘clean’ the inside. Thats what diff fluid is for. If it’s dirty change it. If it’s still dirty change it again. There’s no filter so you wouldn’t want to introduce any foreign particulate. I don’t see a problem with the q-tip cleaning of the magnet. I’ve never n...

Diff fluid change? Rookie help.

It’s an LSD but a helical style, not clutchpack style so the additive isn’t necessary.

Cooper or Maxxis?

Stock steel wheels. I know... it’s an 11-13 year truck but for illustration purposes.

Re: Power Wagon Picture Thread

Man the white paint still shines on your truck. You shouldn't really have to but a deezee heavyweight bed mat would take care of that gouging. I have a drop in liner so loads slide and the HD bed mat provides grip but it's so thick nothing can gouge it.

Re: Possible camp out in central Texas?

Yes sir we are. I’ve lived in both Round Rock and just moved back up north from New Braunfels last May. It’s nice this year without the anxiety of whats in the game cameras. What buck am I missing. Are the feeders full, are they working, etc. I love the actual deer hunting, dressing it, and especial...

Possible camp out in central Texas?

I’d love to join you guys. I’m sitting out deer season this year partly due to cost and partly because I’ve missed the last 4-5 football seasons. It appears to have been a good plan because UT is having a winning season! I think I miss the hanging out with good friends around the campfire drinking b...

I'd much prefer something like this that allows for bed space while also carrying a spare.

Re: 2018 Power Wagon Brake Issues

When I needed new brakes a month or so ago, I purchased the autozone duralast high carbon, gold rotors and duralast max pads . The stock rotors were fine at 80k miles which was surprising but I replaced them. The brake parts are the same brakes as a stock 2500 designed to stop 30k lb loads repeatedl...

Re: 2018 Power Wagon issues

A good lesson here is if the truck doesn’t have everything you ordered it with DO NOT let the dealer ‘make it right’. Cancel that order and order another one :).

2018 Power Wagon issues

Well, common sense is telling me, that late-2017 / early-2018 when Mexico got the message that the Ram HD vehicle production is moving from Saltillo, Coahuila to Warren, Michigan; quality control went w-a-y down and will continue to do so. Agreed...the 18’s seem to have all the problems. The Mexica...

Thanks for clearing that up. For some reason I was thinking removable caps like the older style style wheels.

Oh crazy, subforums... I though the AEV's were +18. I'm looking at CJC's custom (cheap) raceline for dodge which are +20 for 37's.

Re: 2015 6.4 Hemi EGR Issues?

I don’t notice any difference between 89 and 91/93 but a big difference in 87 and 89. I have surging and just poor drivability with 87 so I get the gas card that helps to alleviate the price difference and put 89 in the truck. I also keep MDS disabled by driving in 5th gear all the time even on the ...
