Re: Bullydog settings
So I just happen to be trying to update my 40430 this morning, and am a little stumped as to which 'vehicle application' I need. There are two possible options that could be for my truck (2012): '11-'13 Dodge/Chrysler or '11-'13 Dodge/Chrysler 3.6L/5.7L? What is everybody use? I assume the second op...

Re: Roof Top Tents - Suggestions
Another option I would consider is a 'tent cot'. Especially if I was just looking for a solo setup.

Re: Roof Top Tents - Suggestions
On the front, I welded some brackets to the headache rack, then just bolted on. In the rear, I bolted through the bed rail. Pretty simple and easy to put on or remove.

I would verify your ground and positive connections are solid and not corroded. Simple thing to do and has been the number one cause of starting problems that I have seen.

Plenty of tanks on Amazon:

This is similar to what I put in my trailer and it is a nice tank. Just need to fab up a mount for it.

Here is the camera I have: http://www.carcameradvr.com/p7-newest-car-dvr-with-gps-tracker-gps-logger-gsensor-p-46.html It does the job, I am sure there are much better ones out there. Don't think I would order it again. The safety radius is one thing I know I could have done better. The people on th...

Winched out a Dodge
This last weekend I was in charge of parking at a rodeo. We ended up having by far our biggest year yet and ran out of parking, and along with that we ran out of soda and some other food items. So I made a food run to the local store. On the way there I drove by this Dodge with it's ass end up in th...

I was just talking (complaining) about this last night. I want to be the one driving my truck, not whatever algorithm the OEM decides upon.

Re: New (soon to be offroad) Trailer
A swivel hitch of some sort is definitely in the plan, probably won't happen until after this season, we got too much stuff going on for the down time. I have been really wanting to weigh it, but there are only two scales that I know of around here. One at the metal recycle place, and one at the san...

Walked out at $40xxx in Boise. Sticker was $53k. For some reason this dealer had two wagons on the lot for almost two months already, so I benefited.

Re: All three 2014 PW Models now on the Build Your Own Site
The sticker on a similarly equipped '14 is $16k more then I walked out the door on my '12 for. I doubt you would really pay the sticker price with all the incentives they usually offer.
Just for the fun of it, I built a '14 Cummins......I broke the $70k marker.

FS: Road Rhino DIY Bumper
Looking to sell my bumper. I have had it for about a year. Great bumper, just wanting something different. These sell for $850 welded, or $600 for the weld it yourself. I am asking $700 for the bumper, $800 if you want the lights with it. There are four 4" LED lights, the inner are spot beam, the ou...

Thanks for the comments everybody. Re: New (soon to be offroad) Trailer
OK, finally got back to taking some pictures and posting an update. I am more or less done ("done") with the trailer. Just a few small items that have come up as nice-to-haves after its first limited use. Like a bottle opener mounted near the fridge. Still have to save the funds for a small propane ...

Re: Who's got a rear mounted winch?
Since I was getting a rear bumper anyway, I have less then $500 into the rear winch setup. Includes winch, leads, and wireless remote.
I have yet to see another truck in my area with a rear winch. I could have gotten by without but I like projects and being unique too. Plus I carry an 8k come along.

Re: Who's got a rear mounted winch?
My only concern would be pulling sideways. Straight on pull I would imagine it would be the same as a bumper mount. That makes sense, use a block to make sure the pull is pretty straight on the hitch receiver no matter how you have the truck oriented. I would likely use it to pull logs and other ve...

I was happily surprised with the Runva winch. For the price point, I feel it is the best bang for your buck winch out there.

Re: Who's got a rear mounted winch?
I am not sure what happened to the last time I posted about this, almost as if the entire thread is gone. 1. Yes. 2. Stock size. Do not think anything bigger can fit. (see also #3) 3. Runva 9500lb. It is a short drum winch, only thing that I could find that would fit with the stock hitch. I am sure ...

I can't seem to find them on their new-ish store front either. I found them on the old one still:

DOR also has a vendor section on this forum, so it may be good to just send a PM. I have had good luck with quick responses.
