CDI is the company that builds torque wrench’s for snapon etc. best bang for the buck by a wide margin. Go with a split beam cdi and never look back.

They only discontinue parts that have low sales volume for extended periods. There’s probably very few people breaking the winch cradle and it doesn’t make financial sense to continue producing and stocking a part that no one is buying

Without seeing pics hard to say, but generally if I were to attempt a repair of cast steel or iron I’d use flame spray transfer to fill in whatever void there was.
