Re: Caps/Toppers/camper shells

some yoopers call them "toppers". mine is not on a PW; I have been very happy with it. See photo in my signature, or I can post more photos. (I'm pretty sure it is Century brand, "Royal" model). Cost was around $1500 but that was 10 years ago & was a custom special order. My boys don't like it becau...

Re: where to get stock Mopar parts for my PW?

I needed a new muffler for my 2003; looked all over on-line but just was not convinced I would get something that would work. Finally just had the local Dodge dealer order OEM muffler and paid them to install it. I'm very satisfied with their price and their work - I know many people like to bash (s...

Re: Hanging up the winch, moving on.

Best of luck in whatever you decide, TwinStick I really thought I wanted an EcoDiesel ever since I heard they were coming out; test drove a few but performance was only so-so and price is about the same as Power Wagon with similar options. Payload is less than a Power Wagon, also. Then I read a few ...

Re: CELs - I am Livid!

That almost sounds similar to what I have experienced a few times ("limp" mode). I just pull over in a safe spot and shut the truck off for about a minute before restarting it - this has worked every time. I did pull the codes from the self-diagnostics (key on-off sequence) but I didn't learn too mu...

Re: Chrysler Extended warranty

Does anyone know if the lifetime warranty is only for the original owner?

That is, can I buy a used 1, 2, or 3 year old truck and then buy the lifetime warranty?

Welcome to the Forum; lots of great information here. Enjoy your new truck! Sorry to hear about the Durashakes; have read several others complain about that. I know a lot of guys that run DuraTracs locally here with very good satisfaction. However, we are in an area 3+ hours from the nearest road wi...

just picked up a copy of "WHEELS afield" magazine at the newstand, spring 2016 issue - has an article about Overlanding the Lewis and Clark Trail in an AEV powerwagon "Border to Border Season 002". Haven't read the article yet, cool pictures anyways..... Looks like an orange powerwagon tradesman wit...

Re: Couple more news questions

Bones - I have only seen pictures of 2 newer power wagons with snow plows. One was a Fisher on a 2011 PW and they were able to keep the winch & tow hooks but it was a custom mount. (See http://www.plowsite.com/showthread.php?t=152515) "monteholic" on this forum does have a Boss plow, but said he had...

Re: Anyone keep track of their trucks lifetime avg fuel mile

My truck isn't a power wagon, but is 2003 Dodge Ram 3/4 ton with 5.7L Hemi and 3.73 gears, Automatic Transmission. I have an Excel spreadsheet on my home computer with every gas fill up since I've bought the truck 10 years ago. The lifetime average fuel mileage is right around 12 mpg, but has been d...

Re: Orders to DC--PW future?

Just my 2 cents; if it were me I would park the Power Wagon but try to run it a little every few months at least. As long as you have a decent place for storage should be no problem. You have done a lot of nice Mods; would be the pits to have to start over. I have only been to DC once (as a tourist)...

ramv - If you want a PW Laramie, you may want to order very soon (if I remember correctly from the 2017 PW presentations/announcement from the Chicago auto show, I think the Laramie is getting replaced with a "premium package"). so it sounded like the exterior on 2017 PW SLT and "premium package" wi...

Re: Snowmobiling, 2015-16 Edition

Looks like you had a lot of good times snowmobiling; maybe some year I will get an opportunity to experience mountain riding. For now, I'm pretty satisfied with my UP "flatland" field & bush riding; my sleds rarely get more than 1 mile or so from home; but we do enjoy them just the same. Here is a c...

I am pretty sure the Manufacturer's web site said it does not work with RamBoxes.

Wow, $500 is a great deal. I'm guessing that would fit my truck (2003 6'4" box).
Now if I had a little more vacation maybe I would just take a drive there; it's only 1300 or so miles and fuel is cheap ;-)

Re: $$$ Kinda Interesting...

When I ordered mine in '08. It sticker for $42,000. Chrysler had a $4,500 discount going on, I used my work discount of $4,500. That's $9,000 off of $42,000 for a total of $33,000. Trade in on my old Ram 1500 4x4 was $5,000. So I paid a total of $28,000 for my PW. No, you still paid 33 for the truc...

Will - that exploded view sure does help to explain/understand how the RamBoxes are built and the potential issue some may be seeing with warping. That top ABS part that the body color metal is attached to would appear to not have much structural rigidity to resist warping (maybe compounded by the w...

You must have gotten a part that should have been rejected; you should stand firm and tell them to replace the entire box (truck bed) including the Ram Boxes if that is what it takes. It sounds like you have already been checking on some of the other Ram (non - Power Wagon) forums; I don't know if y...
