Re: Best Build Decision? Leather....
So, most guys suggest Toyos and you get something else? This will almost certainly generate some "told you so's" down the road.

Remington's BK is a reorganization to relieve them of acquisition debt. They will restructure and stay around.

Re: White lettering on tires
If you try a grinder on some BFGs, you just get to more white. How do I know? Inside rubbing on a set of flipped 35s on my old GMC.Or use a grinder with a well worn sanding disc pad to just remove the paint

Stack is only partially correct. We have a problem with criminals and crazies in this country, regardless of their choice of weapon. Best current example is the Austin bombings. Aside from that, Stack is a fool.It is clear we have a problem with the gun laws in this country.

My barber's grand daughter just graduated from the LAPD Academy. Got her mother's actual badge, not just the same number. Her dad is a cop, too. She could kick my ass six ways from Sunday. That makes me feel safe.

Maybe I'm missing something, but I don't see PW wheels on the linked site.

Well, it's about time. My '05 is still the best truck I have ever owned, and I plan to keep it for as long as I am able to drive. Also retired, and too damned busy to enjoy life.

give about 60 more HP and up to 5mpg Not going to get both at the same time. There is no free lunch. I don't think any of the programmer manufacturers claim anything near those figures on a STOCK engine. It's been a few years since I looked seriously at programmer specs and claims, but the most tha...

I think a Pull-Pal is a better solution if you have a winch. This thing takes almost as much space as a Pull-Pal, weighs almost as much, and is too close in price. If you look around, there are used Pull-Pals available for cheap. I have three Pull-Pals, all from Craigslist. Got a small one (Jeep siz...

When seconds count, the police are only minutes away... Last July I caught two burglars/druggies inside my cabin. I had a .44 Mag S&W with me. I called the sheriff re crime in progress, told them I had a gun and two perps, and I needed a deputy RIGHT NOW. Took five calls and twenty minutes for the d...

Re: Dicks Sporting Goods.................
At least in CA, Dick's is the worst excuse I have seen for a sporting goods store. No guns or ammo in the few that I have have visited, but lots of stylish clothing and useless crap. OK for baseball bats and jock straps, but I think they should stop selling those because you could beat someone with ...

Re: Good places to move to in the southwest
Take a look at Prescott AZ. In the mountains near Phoenix, but high enough (4500' ?)to stay relatively cool in summer. Gets a little snow in winter but usually not enough to be a problem. Close enough to Phoenix that you can get to the big city if you want to. If I could convince wifey to leave CA, ...

Amount of improvement depends on which year truck you have. Factory lights on my '05 were complete crap and I spent a bunch of money on various high watt halogen capsules and tweaks to get better light, but nothing was adequate. So I bit the bullet and ordered a set of retrofit projectors from Retro...

Re: Daul Battery --2014-2018
Even my Cabela's Pro Series 20 amp x 2 charger, set in AGM mode, only keeps them at 13.06 volts. I have the Odyssey 40amp 3-bank charger and their newest 20amp single charger, and neither one will finish my 2150 above about 12.65V OCV after a 12-hour rest. Full charge on that battery is 12.85 or hi...

Re: Daul Battery --2014-2018
Grill area looks tighter on 4G. Hesitant on air flow blocking too... Air flow is not a problem, at least on mine. That Warn compressor is bigger than a pair of Grp 34 batteries and my truck spends most of its fun time in the AZ desert in summer and fall, with ambients up to 128F and lots of slow ru...

IMAG0587.JPG IMAG0585.JPG IMAG0588.JPG IMAG0609.JPG To OP, my 3G has plenty of room between the radiator and the grill to mount a pair of Grp 34s. When I was fabbing the cradle for my air compressor in that location, I did a test fit with a couple of Optima 34s on the cradle to to be sure they woul...

Re: Daul Battery --2014-2018
you would thing someone would make an adjustable voltage output alternator, so we could run AGM batteries & charge at 14.8v or more. Pretty sure I posted this a couple years ago, but I spoke with a Dodge dealer service manager who seemed to know his stuff, and he told me that the voltage regulator ...

Re: Daul Battery --2014-2018
In fact, I do have a PulseTech Solargizer mounted on the cowl and connected to the starting battery. PulseTech said it would work, Odyssey said it wouldn't. Danny (aka Redman) had one on his truck and he swore by it, so I figured it was worth $100 to try it. It was a waste of money, and now I have f...

Re: Daul Battery --2014-2018
Starting battery is an Odyssey Grp 31 Extreme Marine. Alternator is 270 amp and cables are 3/0 welding cable. It's a good idea to match all batteries if they are not isolated when the truck is not running, but not necessary if they are isolated. Mine are all AGM with similar chemistry and similar (b...

Re: Daul Battery --2014-2018
There is a lot of room for batteries under the cab on my 3G. Two Optima Grp 34s mounted on their sides, bolted to the frame rail, tucked way up and out of the way. Controlled thru a Painless Performance solenoid/isolator, plus a Blue Seas rotary switch so that I can use one, two, or all three batter...
