Re: MOAB 2017 - May 1-7
Does anyone have a front bumper I can borrow in Moab? It would be very beneficial to not have the massive bull bar eating up half of my approach angle. This is a serious question, I'll give it back to you when we leave. Edit: a damaged bumper is even better. Must fit a 4th gen. Sent from my safe sp...

Re: ? AEV HighMark Fender on Stock Power Wagon = 40" Tires?
I've done a LOT of looking into the AEV flares and suspension setup for 40's and yeah, the reponses are spot on- their lift is a little taller than a stock Wagon (likely about 2" taller front, 1.5" taller rear or thereabouts) their 37->40 kit moves the axle 1.5" forward (also, the kit is designed to...

Re: Rear Winch?
If I can ever get my butt in gear and build it, I'll be running a Warn VR 12,000 in a rear bumper. I have the winch and all the necessary materials, just haven't had the time. I like that 3rd gen Mercenary bumper on that 4th gen build, my rear fenders are cut about the same anyway so, would be perfe...

Re: HAM Radios
Do you know whether your VEC was ARRL or Laurel? ARRL takes about a week I think, Laurel is next business day. Either way it won't take long. My GRMS call was assigned in about 30 mins. Regardless, you'll have comms in time for Moab, and we're actually using channels that you'll be able to use with...

Re: HAM Radios
Looking good Damagewagon!!!!! I just passed my Ham technician test today (took me two tries, DOH!!!) now the waiting game to see when I get my license and call sign on the FCC site. I also applied for a GMRS license just in case the Ham doesn't go through in time, that way I can at least communicate...

Re: MOAB 2017 - May 1-7
On the drone idea, I have a buddy who owns one, a VERY fancy one with tracking, collision avoidance, etc. He can set it up to track a particular vehicle and take pics and video with the drone following it (would be cool to track each truck individually through an obstacle!!!) and can take pictures a...

Well... guess I better get three shirts, one for each day I get to wheel! Also, I better get my wife one (even though she isn't going), LOL! AWESOME!!!! Just a heads up- from what I have read, American Apparel shirts seem to tend to run small (being a fitted style shirt) so, you may want to...

Re: MOAB 2017 - May 1-7
I was thinking of using Custom Ink. My old work had shirts made by them, I've had them for about 3 years now and they are still holding up nicely!!! Custom Ink's minimum is 6. I'm in for at least (2) of (6) in XXXL. I don't know their lead time though. Heck, if I'm the only XXXL wearer and I have to...

Re: When did winch rollers become so expensive ?
Are you running steel or synthetic? If synthetic, Delrin rollers could be a viable option. If you have access to a lathe, Delrin round stock is fairly reasonable and you can make your own.

Re: MOAB 2017 - May 1-7
I do have one idea regarding shirts, but it'll require some trust: I can try to come up with a (I'll admit pretty basic) design and post it up for yay/nay. For those who want t-shirts, they could pm me and I'll keep track of a full list of names and sizes. If that list gets big enough for the shirts...

Re: MOAB 2017 - May 1-7
I was wanting to do shirts but, I don't have the cash to get that going myself. If anybody feels like starting a fund for shirts, count me in for at least (2) XXXL and possibly and additional XXXL and (1) XL. (I'll happily pay right now for (2) XXXL without even seeing what the design will be!)

Re: Winch Replacement, possibly aftermarket? Please Help!!
If my Wagon didn't have its winch and cradle, I would get a Superwinch 18SR (almost 50% off on their website last I checked!) and either build my own bumper or get a local shop to build one. Then you would have a winch that was designed from the start to run synthetic rope (thicker drum and eternal...

I want Hutchinsons so badly!!! It'd be a super heavy wheel and tire combo (Pitbull Rocker Radial XOR LT (backordered right now) on Hutchinsons) BUT, sure would be awesome!!!!

Re: 3rd Gen or 4.5 Gen
When it comes time to consider a new truck, I am hoping to keep my '12 as a dedicated trail rig and use the new truck as a DD/tow pig. If you can swing it 2005PW, I'd say that's the ultimate way to go!!!! (full disclosure though, I don't plan on getting another Wagon, I am planning to get a 3500 4x4...

Re: Synthetic winch line fairlead?
The roller fairlead is fine for synthetic as long as you are replacing with 7/16" synthetic. (Some people have noted that 3/8" synthetic can get caught between the rollers) As long as the rollers have been completely smoothed so that they don't have any burrs from running wire, synthetic and rollers...

I'm getting stickers made up (which I plan to give free for attendees!) but I need to know two things-
how many total rigs?
and
who do I need to contact for permission to be allowed to use the forum name in the stickers?

Re: Need more HP/Torque???
Unfortunately, I have to admit that I had that exact hairstlye (albeit slightly different, I have very dark brown, almost black hair), business up front, party out back, and lines down the sides!!!! I really want that supercharger setup for my Wagon! That would be a LOT of fun! I could really get th...
