Re: Any Pics of Hutchinson Wheels?

Look at pics of the AEV wheels (since there are zillions of them). They basically have the identical backspacing (the hutchinsons will stick out .03 inches more than the AEV).

Re: Best Build Decision? Leather....

I am curious about the duratracs. What did the wear pattern look like running them at 65 psi all the time? Oh and how much do your generation of power wagon's weigh? I think its Bill2014 (i think) that has 15k+- miles on his duratracs set at 65ish psi and he claims they have perfect wear. I have 20...

Funny my 2005 Titan did that for years. I took it to the shop and they tell me its exhaust manifold leaks. I am like you are crazy. But sure enough it caused some sort of glitch with the cruise control. Could not believe it.

Re: 37" tires with 4.10 for those who do have

If you only do work in the forward direction, it reduces to a question of optimization... If backing something heavy up a winding hill in 4Lo is in the picture, I would think twice about the "weaker" gear set. I've been in 4Lo reverse with the wheels taking turns breaking loose - stock gears - hopi...

Yep. My cruise control intermittently won't turn on when I push the button. Several miles down the road I'll give the button another try and sure enough it is back and ready to cruise. :-/

Re: Tradesman/power wagon vs power wagon snowplow prep

If you build a tradesman and add the power wagon package you can add the snow plow prep package also. Just did it on the ram truck website. That’s why I am asking about this, ram states that the suspension is the same I don't think the dealer interface will allow the combination. Hence, it can't be...

Re: Rusty's PW Journal

Nice job! I bought the Thuren arms, but they're still in the box. I should have got these things. I may still do it. I definitely need the Thuren shackles. The ones I have are a little short. Do you Kno how the Thuren soft ride coils compare to the Carli progressive coils? The Thuren coils are a lo...

Because the snowplow prep group includes heavier front springs and the PW comes with linear rate 2" lift coils.
Yes. Actually I believe they (RAM) advise against putting a plow on a power wagon. Just like putting a camper in the bed.

I agree the horn in these trucks are horrible. They have a delay and it is impossible to just give someone a quick toot. It sounds for like a second, minimum.
Try to give a quick tap tap and see what you get :D
Just a quick tap never seemed to work for me.

Re: Trans Issues - 2016

I have always felt that if the gearing were a bit lower (say 4.56’s or even 4.88’s with the stock tires) then the truck would probably drive and shift so much better (at least to my liking).

However, the shuddering must go now. And that is just the EGR valve?

My 16 has 30K on it now and it runs they way it should,,,now. But that was after an EGR valve, the solenoid pack and having everything reflashed a couple of times. I'm finally happy with the way the trans shifts and no surging. Man, wish I could say the same. This tranny has me ready to throw the t...

Yea. The dry weight of our travel trailer is 7000 pounds. Even at that, if I was towing it around a lot more than I do then I would be looking into a diesel. The hemi works, but it almost gets annoying with all the revving and gear changing just on the slightest of grades.

The loss you're going to take selling the Power Wagon without locking axles and winch will exceed the cost of lockers and a winch in the new truck. Wiring the electric lockers is simple, it's just positive and negative through a relay.
