Re: springs question

figured I would update this. my ocd wouldn't let me forget the driver side was leaning, so I kept trying to figure out what the hell was causing it. 1/2" just seemed excessive. my last '16 truck was within a 1/8" or less, side to side. so why should this '17 be any different is what I wanted to kno...

Re: Rear Shock Question

My understanding is it’s not so much about valving as length. Stock gas and diesel trucks have shorter coil free heights than power wagons or his own lift springs. You don’t want coil springs popping out on the trail as you articulate because your shocks are “too long” That makes alot of sense. Yes...

Re: Rear Shock Question

So... I appreciate the feedback but I'm hearing factory shocks are junk and I need a good set of $500+ shocks... I like it, not sure the wife will! ;) I would not say Bilstein's are junk, I think that's' overstating the case. Toyota, GM, Jeep, Dodge, RAM all have their performance shocks made by Bi...

Re: New grille, old emblem

I decided to join the old emblem team since they don't make a grumper for the 3rd gen. Here I am testing the emblem on Cleghorn. I think it helps the articulation. Had you put your tow mirrors in the erect position I believe you would have gained another 100 or so articulation points. ...

Re: Rear Shock Question

With all the leaking issues I have heard with these shocks, I dont think I would be replacing them with the same thing. Couldn't strap the back of your truck to the base of one of those large tree's behind you?

Re: Hardwired Lockers with OEM Knob

One of these days I'm going to find away to put a switch on the panel illum too. I HATE that turning off the headlights gooses the panel all the way up to full chooch automatically. Makes it so you can't sit in your truck in the dark with the headlights off and see anything outside the vehicle. I h...

Re: The Cactus Red mod thread.

... Even with the 1 ton helper springs I had to lower the weight onto the ball, lock it down, then use the jack again to jack up the truck and trailer, just to be able to get the weight distribution/anti sway bars in place. if I didn't do that, there was no way to get them in, truck was squatted to...

Yes you might be on to something there. The 3rd wire might be for a sensor, to notify the computer what location its in.
