Re: Balance beads ?
Thanks for the info tommyg experience sound like mine so far. I went ahead with 37 nitto ridge grapplers. Tire guy said he could balance, went to pick truck up and he said his balance machine would hold them but it confused the machine he said because tires are so big (obvious he never handled 42). ...

37" spare locations
Wonder what all options there are for 37" spare tire location. I understand a 35" will fit under truck (have not tried but that is what I read, got to be tight though) does it help to do away with heat shield? I saw reloader's Wilco carrier and I like also like Wilco tailgate replacement spare tire ...

I know those read good but the way I have understood balancing the further out front the center the better. The rings would be the closest to the center.

Balance beads ?
I am Having a hard time in my small town to find someone that will say they can balance and garentee they balance 37" tires. I am most likely going with nitto ridge grappler. One guy says yes but he want to use the balance beads they look like they are maybe fiberglass. Trying to stay local. What ar...

Re: Steering parts question/thought
I have said all along I know the knuckles will need to be re tapered and bushings like aev uses when they flip the drag link. I am thinking leave the drag link like it is that way it stays parrael to track bar as it should be. The clearance issue looks to be on passenger side knuckle where tie rod a...

Re: Steering parts question/thought
Flipping the tie rod and yes they are tappered where the tie rod goes thru. On the old straight axle Chevy we would ream the knuckle out and flip it. On these truck will have turn it end to end to put it on top, that will loose factory way to mount stabilizer. That not the hard part it is the cleara...

Steering parts question/thought
I was in Jack's Creek today and the thing I dislike about water crossing is not being able to see the rocks. My Carli front diff cover and deluth skid got some rock rash but they did their job as intended. My steering rod that connects both tires( steering stabilizer bolts to it) I call it the drag ...
