Re: Steering Box Slop - 2015

It's not just the EMF bushing, any insert you install will make the same noise. I had air hose in the joint before the EMF bushings and it caused the same sound. My truck wandered all over the road before I installed the bushings.

It would be perfect if the chrome was matt black
There isn't any matte black anywhere on the truck and I don't have any plans for that color scheme either. Frankly matte black looks terrible on nearly everything with the exception of maybe a LaFerrari.

Re: Well...this sucks

Damage Wagon burned in my shock mounts when he put on the truss. The factory welds on the shock mounts are terrible and I was uncomfortable with then in stock form. I'm surprised guys didn't rip them off jumping their trucks at PWiM.

MSRP for the base vehicle plus MSRP for the AEV parts. How about no?

I'm going without balancing. My wheel and tire combination weighs too much for the 17" balancers. This is the automotive equivalent of "big dick problems" so I'm going raw (for better or worse).

Re: Truck felt squirrely on drive back

I ran 35/30 with 37x12.5 tires. You could try more air but I doubt that's it. I'd probably start by checking the torque on all of the fasteners in the front end. I found hand tight bolts under my truck at 2500 miles.

Re: So, I crunched my right rear door at Moab

It looks like both doors are damaged. Traditional door with non structural damage to the outer panel are just reskinned and painted. I'd probably just have both doors fixed and turn it in to insurance.

But at 40s... 20s is okay... it's just not okay at 37s... though 18 would be fine... just not at 35s... 17s would be fine then. 1/2 rule and all.

Mine go on tomorrow for PWIM. Hoping I don’t regret the MT choice next winter... If you think they are gonna not slip and slide around on the main roads you will be in for a treat! Mine handled snow and ice just fine this winter. Yep, thats just it. Its all relative. All I know is a good a/t tired ...
