You certainly can't argue with the results.

Re: High Quality Tents

Bass Pro bought Cabelas in an attempt to bring the company back to the way the Cabela family wanted it to run. BP bought enough to have controlling interest, with a few Cabelas in key positions to run it. The family was kinda behind it, at least according to the financial news reports I read when it...

Re: Steering brace

On the earlier, small box it is a way to lessen the side loads and strain on the sector shaft and bearings. On the new big box it may or may not be needed. I haven't really heard a definitive opinion.

Yep. That's the one I have. No mods. But if I were to do it again, a single-side brace is the way I would go.

Brian, you're not going to get them cheaper than that. Just go for it. They are as close as your nearest Fastenal. They will ship them between stores.

Yes, you do. Just replaced my heater core and evap. The entire dash comes out, unless you have done many and know some tricks.

Re: Winch Line Won't Retract

Low voltage interrupt, high temp interrupt, corroded connections on the back side of the winch side plug, corroded relays. These are the most common issues. Have you started the truck? Obvious question- is there power at the winch? The high temp interrupt has been bypassed on MANY of our winches for...

Re: Thuren 2" or 3" coils?

Before you settle on the 2s, just know that the Thuren shackles really make a difference in the feel of the rear suspension. It may be worth going to 3". There is an OEM setting as well, if you really don't want the extra height.

If they are available, get one before they aren't! They didn't actually come with the truck in '05, they were an accessory available.

Re: Rear Winch?

A few have mounted a winch in the spare tire space with a fairlead in the bumper. You need to build a pretty substantial bracket to handle the potential load.

Re: Price on Toyo MT 35x12.5x17??

It's seriously easier to just back off the steering a little if it rubs. I did it for years with 35" Toyo MTs and OEM control arms, until I installed Carli high clearance arms. Those MTs REALLY thump when they rub, with the huge side lugs.

Re: 2015 Front Spring/Shock Swap

Centering the axle as you did may very well allow a collision between the coil bucket and control arm bolts or whatever sticks out the most in that area during compression. Remember, the axle moves in an arc through the compress-droop cycle. On a PW, or other Ram with lift, the axle will be shifted ...
