Re: Shock feedback sticky?
I do believe there is only one model Overland Shock. http://www.straptperformance.com/THUREN-OVERLAND-SHOCK-SET-FRONT-AND-REAR-p/thn-olsp.htm I did speak with Don about the ones above and he said they would work great with my stock 2005 Power Wagon  That's odd, when I asked him about them f...

Re: Honest No BS Opinions Wanted
From Starwood's website: IMPERVIOUS TO SCRATHES & CHIPS If they can't spell "scratches" then I don't think I would trust them with an expensive truck. I agree with Double D  A friend opened up a local 4x4 shop and during the open house a guy showed up with his JK done entirely in white.....hur...

Re: F'n electronic nanny strikes on trail
Anybody (olyelr) know if this is similar to the purple wire mod on the JKs? Olyelr has a write up on JK Forum. Have to assume somebody smarter than me, which isn't saying much, has a way to bypass this?

Re: Anyone using the Solid 9.25AAM Cover?
Pics of the clearance issues? I posted a few pics in this thread: http://forum.powerwagonregistry.org/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=2764 . The first pic shows how much I trimmed off the u-bolt. No bueno. Second attempt I trimmed the bolt pretty much flush with the nut (maybe a hair inside), but as luck would ...

Re: Anyone using the Solid 9.25AAM Cover?
Just poking around and hadn't seen this front axle option yet. Looks like no capacity increase and not sure if plugs are magnetic. But it looks solid (albeit heavy) and is inexpensive. I remember a couple posts talking about clearance while flexing. Not sure if this one would pass muster. http://ww...

Re: Purple Cranium diff guard first impression
There is no possible way my stabilizer would even come near it. Good to know, thanks for checking. Just to be clear, you were referring to the stabilizer bracket? My stabilizer is on the passenger side. It is mounted in the center and strokes out toward the passenger side. No possible way for the s...

Would love to be added to the list. Not sure if the PM I sent in January ever made it to myoung84, as I know he's been super busy. 2013 PW, thanks!

Re: Purple Cranium diff guard first impression
Yeah, it's hard to tell from just looking at them, but they seem to sit low enough that there won't be any contact. Thanks for taking a look. If the Thuren bracket doesn't work, guess I'll switch back to the stock cover and try the Purple Cranium one.....should have done that in the first place, but...

Re: Purple Cranium diff guard first impression
Any indication that your steering stabilizer will make contact at full left turn lock? Trimmed by bracket as much as I could and it still makes contact with my Solid cover. Just got the Thuren bracket, hope that fixes my issue. Unfortunately I won't know until my back gets better so I can install it.

Re: Exhaust ticking under load.
I have a 2013 and the same issue. First noticed it around 3k miles. After being repeatedly told by the dealership "it's normal" (BS!) I took it to a local exhaust shop to have them take a look and see what they could do. As soon as the guy cranked it up he goes "That's not normal". He put a scope on...

Re: New diff covers on the way for the Power Wagon!!
Thanks guys. I'll trim the bolt some more and see what happens. Over time I'm sure the bolt would just groove the cover, but I'm not digging that clunk it makes, and not sure if it would cause any other issues? Suppose I'll contact Don as well

Re: New diff covers on the way for the Power Wagon!!
Thanks for that suggestion....was hoping for something a little less expensive That might be a viable option later down the road though, assuming it will work on a '13 PW? Thanks again. Adam

Re: New diff covers on the way for the Power Wagon!!
Hello all. Been lurking here for quite some time, finally thought I might have some useful information to contribute to the forum. I just installed the DT ProFab rear and the Solid front covers. Wish I would have done a little more homework on the Solid cover. For those of you thinking about getting...

Anybody hear anything good/bad about these guys? Saw their bumpers on an F250 and they looked STOUT. About an hour or so away, might go check them out.

Re: New PW owner - question for you
Ah, FML.....apparently it is "normal". Didn't have a good feeling going in after reading the massive thread over on DodgeTalk. I guess the good news is, apparently the noise will decrease after the engine is broken in some  Everything I know about automobiles, which isn't much, tells me that no...

Re: New PW owner - question for you
Taking it to a different dealer tomorrow to see if I get the same response. Sure hope it's not "normal". The noise alone is almost making me regret the purchase. Thanks for all the replies! If I get any info other than "it's normal" I'll post back.

Re: New PW owner - question for you
WHAT?!!! These precision, fine-tuned, machines make a horrible tapping, exhaust leak sounding noise, that gets louder next to a building or passing car that makes you say "WTF is that?" Welcome to owning a Power Wagon! Too funny Mr. Smith, that's exactly what what I thought when I heard it, ...

Re: New PW owner - question for you
Thanks for the inputs everybody. I originally thought belt or u-joint, but when I noticed it sitting in a drive-thru sitting still, I kind of ruled out ujoint......unless there's still something spinning that I don't know about. I'll crawl under and look at the driveshaft and see about getting some ...

New PW owner - question for you
Hello all, I recently picked up a 2013 PW. LOVE the truck, can't wait to start throwing money at it  The truck has almost 900 miles on it. Here's my question: I notice under acceleration a chirping/squealing type sound. It gets faster and louder as the engine revs. It's not so noticeable whe...
