Re: Rock Rails
You can add the step option on the REDs, which I did......and quickly added some skateboard deck tape. Price wise, after all was said and done, I was about as much into these as the WKs would have cost with shipping, maybe a hair more since I had Randy's shop do the install.

Re: Rock Rails
Have you at least contacted WK to see what the build time is? WK is clearly the forum favorite here. Had I not taken a chance on a local AZ guy, I'd be rocking the WKs for sure!scoutermike wrote:Thanks everyone for all your replies. Still undecided.......

Re: Rock Rails
How are the Randy Ellis rails mounted? The frame mounted designs are what most(myself included)prefer & are seeking. The problem with the body mounted designs if seriously abused/used in these heavyweights, eventually mounting points experience fatigue/failure within the sheet metal. I shared the s...

Re: Rock Rails
Just to repeat what others are saying, if you are going to wheel hard, you should invest in the White Knuckle sliders. There is some guy on the FB group who is making knock offs. And I think that is Randy Ellis. He's in Canada so it tends to be cheaper for folks up north. Negative, Randy is in Phoe...

Re: Rock Rails
Any difference between 2015 and 2016 models? If not, you may also want to check out the Randy Ellis sliders. The White Knuckles are awesome and I almost went that route but after talking with Randy I decided to give his sliders a shot. Otherwise, White Knuckle is the clear winner....but you better o...

Re: Tow mirrors
I do not, but a guy I work with has them on his. I mentioned I didn't like my power folding mirrors and commented I wanted the tow style like he has. Lo and behold, he showed me they were in fact power folding. One day I'll bite the bullet and get some towing mirrors. My inner redneck likes the flip...

Re: White Knuckle Sliders On!
Really hope I do not regret not going the White Knuckle route. I have always liked them but I decided to be different and get the Randy Ellis sliders. Driving up to Phoenix tomorrow to have them installed. After talking to Randy I am pretty confident they will hold up to some abuse. My buddy is havi...

Re: Battery?
Just went through some research on batteries for my TJ. Was going to go either Odyssey or Northstar and then started coming across some rebadged batteries made by both. Ended up going with an X2 Power. Specs were identical, both made in USA, but the X2 was a hair cheaper with better warranty. Haven'...

Re: Power Wagon Picture Thread
A lot of talk of de-badging/de-stickering going on so I thought I'd share a few pics of my 2013. All that remains are hood decals. Nothing too special. Line-X bumpers/grill and tailgate ram head, Rigids flushed into rear Backwoods bumper, F/R diff covers, Thuren SS bracket and front boogies, upgrade...

Re: AEV Ram!
I went with Onyx. They look darker in the pictures than they really are. Between my rockers and bumpers being coated with Line-X, I really felt these wheels tied everything together. I know not everybody will like it, but they sure make me smile! As stated, those look sweet! I originally liked the ...

Re: Diff Covers
I went DT ProFab in the rear and Solid up front. Extra capacity out back is nice and I haven't reversed into any rocks yet so can't speak to its strength but I don't see it being an issue. Steering stabilizer u-bolts hit the Solid so I trimmed them down as flush as I could and it still barely rubbed...

Re: DOR steering brace 3rd gen
Good to hear.....went to install mine a while back, appears it is going to require a little finesse and maybe some boring/grinding. Long story short, I got lazy and it's still in the box in my garage  Was hoping for direct fit but I understand all vehicles are different, not a knock on the pro...

I was going to try this, but the body shop my wife refers clients to did it for free to the adhesive left under the flares when I removed them.

Re: n-fab side steps for 2015 PW
Recently took them off my '13. Had them powder coated locally before I installed them and they have held up great. I never put the plug in the back of the tube so nothing to really get trapped inside. I've washed them out a few times and did not have the rust issue previously mentioned.....then agai...

I got his basic rear and added in for backup sensors, shackle tabs, and LED cutouts. Sent him a set of Rigid flush mount lights to use for a guide. All of the pics I saw on his site were the cube style and I didn't like the look. I'll have it Line-X'd when I get it to match my front end. Still haven...

Re: Questions about Swapping Mirrors
Welcome to the forum! Just out of curiosity, the mirrors on newer models don't "flip up" into tow mode position any more? When did that change? My 13 came with the power folding mirrors and do not flip up. Call me a Bubba or whatever, but I like the look of the flipped mirrors  I will admit, s...

Not sure the cost, but have you looked into a bedrug? Initially I wasn't a fan but a buddy of mine put one in his Jeep and it turned out nice. Just a thought. Adam

Re: Wheel Talk
If you are changing for looks, then ignore my comments. If you want improved function, there are only two choices that I am aware of: 1. A set of Hummer H2 wheels with the center holes bored out to accommodate the Dodge hubs. 2. A set of true beadlocks, preferably with a DOT approval. Just out of c...
