Plow guys... Timbrens? AirLift Aircell?
So, I bit the bullet and bought a nice used plow (Boss 8' Power-V), getting the wiring harness together, and a mount to put it on the PW, but I'm a little worried about the sag the front end is going to suffer with the weight of the plow. Timbrens look like they might be a decent option to prevent/r...

Re: Tires
I haven't driven in MN much, so I don't know what type of snowy roads they have... If they salt, like here in Upstate NY, get whatever tire you want... M/T's cut through the deeper snow down to pavement better than ATs which seem to ride on top of fresh snow. If they sand, which results in hardpacke...

Re: New Jeep seems to actually be improved.......
Yeah, but no one knows what the roof is going to be on the new truck version... I'm hoping it's like the old CJ-8, with a short, easily removed hardtop (although this one will only be available in a 4 door apparently), and the option for a soft top/bikini. The doors should certainly be removable, ju...

Re: New Jeep seems to actually be improved.......
I am seriously going to consider the Scrambler version of this when it comes out... I find myself needing to tow heavy less and less, and my neighbor will let me use his 1-ton Chevy anytime I want so long as I let him use my dump trailer whenever he wants. The new Scrambler will supposedly pull 6,50...

Re: My extreme snow run
Yeah, I've played in deep snow with them all... Seems you had the same results I have. Everyone raves about snow tires, but in deep snow they're no better than an all season (maybe an A/T if the snow tires are more aggressive). M/T's dig through that moderately deep snow, and bite into packed snow, ...

Re: My extreme snow run
I'm curious... did you guys see any tires significantly outperform others? Maybe not a particular brand or model, but M/T vs. A/T vs. R/T, C/T, etc? Here in WNY where we get the heavy lake effect, I've always had better luck with less aggressive M/T's, or very aggressive A/T's. Seems to be a fine li...

Re: Guys who've added light pods in rear bumper with ParkSense
I added 2 into the bumper, I'll try to get pics later. I had no issues with the parksense wiring at all. I cut the lights into the bumper just below the centerline, so they angle down a little bit (few degrees is all). The parksense wires fit right over the light housings, and since the LED's aren't...

Keep it... Wait until the next gen trucks come out, give those a few years for the wrinkles to disappear, and stash the cash of your payment in your mattress... Then, when those new trucks really are ready (2021 maybe?), you'll have enough cash for a large down payment, or to be able to buy a 17/18 ...

If it has a draft inducing fan, check the bearings... that's what got me last year. Once that goes out, it'll fire up for a few seconds, then when it doesn't sense the draft, it shuts off. Cheap to replace, but they aren't stocked anywhere (mine wasn't). Took 9 days to get one via the manufacturer. ...

Hey, I have them on my truck too... They're stainless, not chrome. It was the only decent option I could find that didn't have a naked lady or Yosemite Sam on them... Combined with the chrome bed rails, tail light covers, dual exhaust pipes (with chrome tips), pocket style flares, and LED bar under ...

Re: Has anyone replaced their front tow hooks?
Based on the pictures of those shackle mounts, there's no way in hell you're going to pull those things apart with a factory winch, and 1 or even 2 snatch blocks... There has to be over 2 square inches of weldment on there, and the gussets are bonus. Figure even with a fair quality weld, you'll get ...

I would take an extra set of lug nuts! I'm missing a couple anyway... PO put on the locking lugs, which I had to weld nuts on to since he didn't give me the key for them... So, I'm 4 short... PM coming your way.

Re: Brake Chirp / Brake line pulsating
How fast are you going when its chirping like this? I'd start with the simple things first: lube the calipers (slides, pistons, pads on the stainless clips); if that doesn't make a difference, bleed the lines; form there, new pads; new discs; new calipers; new hubs; new truck... In that order. haha ...

Well... Put the muffler on, and what do you know, Saturday night I go to drop the jet ski in at the slip, and I hear an exhaust leak at the manifold... Congrats on buying a boat. Sorry, I hate when people say this... Have you ever actually driven one? What about it makes it a boat? Re: exhaust
There is a break in on the muffler it seems. Also the resonator on that 22 inch probably isn't doing you any favors. It's probably close to stock right now with just a different note. Its definitely louder than stock, but not much. The resonator on the 5.7L isn't as big as the dingleberry on the 6....

Alright, installed the Magnaflow 12589 (5x11x22) tonight, cut out the old stock muffler, and installed the Magnaflow in the same basic spot, hooked it up to the stock tailpipe (with the resonator above the axle (not the same as the 6.4L resonator that hangs down). I'll be honest, its quieter than I ...

I have a Stampede on my 13, and I can't use the screws over the headlights either... maybe if I shimmed the hood open another hundred thousands it would clear, but not the way it is now. It doesn't make a difference on mine, the stampede is a little narrower, so they don't really move around at all.
