Re: 3G Fire Extinguisher Bracket
I have the H3R bracket but have not installed it yet. I have a very large extinguisher in the bed already. I'll try to post pics when I get it installed.

Re: Found the source of my steering vibration...
Right where that steering stabilizer came apart looks like a good solid point to mount a hydrolic piston! As in hydro assist! Actually, I take that comment back. I think attaching a hydro assist ram right there would create an issue on hard passenger turns. Don't want to give any bad ideas. sorry t...

Re: Chasing a problem
One last thing is I don't crank on nuts and bolts to check them. They get properly torqued then they all get marked regularly so that nuts or bolts backing out can be seen quickly. My bushings do much better when I follow BDS lift torque specs and keep them there.

Re: Why a PW doesn't have a CTD option via RAM
I think the power wagon has more than 430 ftlbs at the tires when offroad in 4 lo. It has a good surplus of torque even with 37"s, locked going up the side of a mountain pulling a disabled Jeep or Range Rover. Tires seem to be the limiting factor. There is usually limited tire friction so tires are ...

Re: Uwharrie 5-28-16 (this Saturday)
What kind of upgrades do you have on the PW? The hardest parts of rocky mountain loop are now closed. someone supposedly found arrowheads at Kodak rock and Budweiser rock. Dutch John's trail is getting rutted out where the tight high walls are so it's perfect for a power wagon. Dickey Bell has been ...

Re: Chasing a problem
Best way I know is to get under the truck and look for unwanted movement in all bushings front and rear. then have someone turn steering wheel in small back and forth movements and look for give / somewhere movement doesn't translate down from steering wheel all the way down to the tires. Jack up fr...

That's pretty cool. I think my truck is built way too heavy for that. I love the way the truck sounds, maybe I'll go without a muffler too.

FWIW, East Coast Gear Supply are the go to for axle issue's in NC. Most of their work is getting used axles, loading them with goodies and shipping them out. Cheaper than other resources I've seen.

Re: Mods on a 2006 Overlanding Power Wagon?
I'm really interested in seeing what you do with this truck. For the most part I agree with fbenross. I believe he's had a camper on his truck for quite a few years. I wouldn't know how my truck would off road with a camper but my truck is typically 8600-8700 lbs when I'm on trails and I love rock c...

Re: Breather hose ID
I ran the front axle and transfer case up to the top of drivers side fire wall. If I recall they were already run into the engine bay. So I just extended them a few feet. The rear axle vent tube was ran up in front of passenger rear tire. In between the sheet metal of the truck's bed. I can't rememb...

Re: Orders to DC--PW future?
I would say if you plan on having a power wagon in the future then keep this one assuming you are happy with it. The way I see it is the price tag for a new 2020 PW may be crazy high, democrats may take over and put all kinds of regulations on the 2020 and like the others said it may not be made in ...

If your going to wheel it I would stay away from aluminum. I had the aluminum and only touched the drive shaft for a moment and turned a section square. Since then I've had a heavy steel driveshaft and keep spare u joints.

Re: 3rd Gen removing 6" lift and leveling ?'s
Looks like I have the upper and lower control arms, front and rear springs, Maybe all of the hardware (not sure), sway bar end links. I have the original track bar but I think its bushings are loose. I'm not sure if the pitman arm is in the boxes somewhere but I can check tomorrow. Honestly I have d...
