Re: 14+ Possible Fan Clutch failure?

Here is an easy way to tell if your fan clutch is working correctly or not: 1) The fan clutch should stop spinning almost immediately when you shut the engine off, if it keep spinning the clutch is worn out. 2) With the engine off you should be able to turn the fan by hand, if not the clutch is lock...

 coder  I hope you get many years before you hear tick-tick-tick-tick-tick again :D Thanks I hope so too. Re: 3 Gen Stainless SRT Exhaust Stud/Bolt PNs?

I ended up replacement everything with new OEM parts including studs/bolts, gaskets and heat-shields. I had one broken stud that needed to be extracted the nuts holding the heat-shields on were rusted solid so they had to be cut off. I could not get the right side header out of the wheel well so I d...

3 Gen Stainless SRT Exhaust Stud/Bolt PNs?

After 3 year and 40k miles I need to replace the exhaust manifold studs/bolts on my trucks rebuilt engine. I have heard that you can use stainless steel SRT bolts. Are there any negatives in doing this, does anyone have the part numbers? Any and all input is welcome.

A factory rebuild is the most reliable if it was my truck and I was planning on keeping it for awhile that would be my choice.

Re: Radiator Hoses: To Change Or Not?

Since you can't always visibly see if a hose is going bad I would replacement them just for peace of mind. I would also recommend replacing, if you haven't recently, the thermostat, the thermostat inlet tube, and the radiator cap and heck you might as well throw in a new serpentine belt while your a...

Re: Full weight of PW on OEM rockrails?

I have the OEM Rock Rails and use them to lift my truck all the time, in fact they are at least as strong if not stronger stronger than any aftermarket rails you can buy. That being said however the frame is still the safest way to lift the truck because rock rails weren't really designed be used as...

Re: Coyote Flats Trip Pics/Vids

Coyote Flats were on my to-do list this summer. So far I haven't made. I will likely be in Papoose flats very soon though. Papoose flats is very scenic was there a few years back, definitely a lot drier no water anywhere. If you have time you can also see the old Saline Valley salt tram station on ...

Re: 3rd Gen PW question

Ive been looking for a 3rd gen PW and doing some research on the side, some of the things ive read were after market winches are better, locker sway bar switch goes out so replacing sway bar and rewiring lockers. With all that being said would i be better off buying a regular 2500 and adding a bump...

Re: 2006 Dodge Ram Power Wagon Title

The 05-09 PW is a Dodge Ram 2500 5.7 Hemi with one of the following packages SLT 26P or Laramie 22L. It was marketed as a distinct model but technically wasn't so when you run the VIN it will show as a 2500 SLT or Laramie. See my window sticker below.

Great news, remember the dealer has to program the new smartbar into the trucks computer before it will work. No they don't. I installed the smartbar and plugged it in. Everything works great. In fact, my lockers lock quicker now. The dealer never seen it. Glad you didn't have to ...

New 4x4 In the Family

No it's not a new PW however I took my wife vehicle shopping this week to replace a well worn 2010 Jeep Liberty and lo and behold, she wanted a new Jeep Wrangler. After several rounds of "are you sure this is what you want!" keep in mind she is by no means an off-road enthusiast. We now own a 2019 J...

It's easy to fly down a straight dirt road f...
