Saved a baby Robin fledgling
Found him on the ground under one of our trees. I could have climbed up to put him back, but he managed to jump out of the shoe box twice. He would probably fall out again. Mom and dad were doing five bombs at me and my neighbor. I fed him 4 worms and some soggy cat food. I found a wildlife refuge i...

Definitely liking the hood lines and headlights on the 4th gen. Not so much the tailgate logo, I like the 3rd gen badges on the tailgate, but I'm glad we're all at least going to be in one place on the forum now. Nice truck! Actually, the Laramie Edition has the 3G badges on the tailgate, but the l...

Re: married 25 years
Congrats! We've been married 12 years on May 27th, but we met in 1985. Long story why we waited, but when I say that, it's a 50/50 shot whether she'll say let me shower first or f*ck off, I'm not in the mood.

A guy I talk to alot posted this video up for his emergency off road jack. It's a boat fender that's recommended for 2psi but as you can tell he's way over that and has been using it for offroad for ~5 years. The truck he's lifiting is a Ford 6.0L Crewcab with I think 40 or 41" IROCS plus a topper,...

Nice set up! I wish I would have seen a cover like yours---very useful for accessing tool kit. How do you like the led aux lights? I have my truck all wired for them, just trying to decide which ones to put behind the grill. If you don't mind me asking, what are they worth? The Truxedo Deuce is so ...

Ken, I almost was. I was close to asking my wife to drive me to the ER to hook me up on an IV. My legs were so badly cramped I could barely walk, let alone manage to drive the truck.

Then maybe I'll just stick to 2m and work from there.
Thanks, Mike. I'll look into it. I only have an eve class next week, so I might take a ride down there.

And I found an FT897D overseas edition 1.8 - 470 Mhz, with 150w. Wow. Now if I did my math right, 2m (144 MHz) falls in that range.

 Got an email from Jason Bruce at AFE. He said they have not made one yet for the AAM 10.5 PW rear diff, but he said that he has turned the matter over to their design team for review and potential production! :excited: I wrote back and told him that if they made it, there would be a whole bu...

Re: Ham Radio vs CB
I just spent the last 3 hours reading up on this stuff, and it's just generating more questions, such as 2m vs HF, dual band, 50m, and all the other wavelengths, etc, and their frequency equivalents and what mobile and home antenna to get. Seems the more I read and getting acclimated, the more my CC...

Re: Ham Radio vs CB
Now I'm in research mode with a CB and a 2M radio. I found a UK distributor selling a YAESU FT2900R/E for £142.99 Inc. VAT, and then asks if you want to add "Wide Band Transmit Coverage" for an additional 12.50£. Here's the link: http://www.haydon.info/proddetail.asp?prod=FT2900 Of course I'm not go...
