The Lincoln version of the F-150 had this type of tailgate as well.
The honda ridgeline has had a tailgate like this for years as well.

Re: Re:

Yes sir, stock size 285 70 17. Had nice 315’s on it when I got it, even after a good alignment and DOR steering brace, it drove like crap. Bought the stock size tires and problem solved. Sure pulls my trailer nice as compared to my 2015 GMC Sierra 1500. Supposedly my trailer is within all towing sp...

Re: Airbags

I did the airlift bags and daystar cradles, as have countless others. Lots of good feedback on this setup. I would look into Thurens rear trackbar setup... I think you would benefit from that.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but no one offers a bypass module to let the disco work on demand?
Nope.... but maybe retiredblmrig is being hush hush about attempting such a feat?! :excited:

Could always go the manual route or the air actuated route.

Re: Locker Bypass Rebirth

Sure, they need differential to lock up... but that can be offered for nearly minutes at times with the factory setup and they still dont lock up... its not just that aspect limiting the factory setup... its just flat out too much electronic bullshit.

Are those tires 285’s, or are they undersized?

Re: FS: Brand new White Knuckle sliders

Pdavey has White Knuckles on his 2019 PW. Plus he's had them for a while. I was just under a few 19’s today and none had those vibration dampers. I don’t know if they are part of a trim package or are standard on Power Wagons. I’m very interested in how much of a difference they make. Maybe washboa...

Nice thing about the ‘13 is you still get the 4.56 gears, but also get the newer interior.

Re: 06 PW Winch

Alright gents, point taken regarding the winch. As to how it tows my trailer? Night and day as compared to my 2015 Sierra 1500. I replaced the hitch due to excessive corrosion, new air bags, new 10 ply stock size skins, Diablo tune, cat back exhaust, cold air intake(came with). With the 456 gears, ...

Re: FS: Brand new White Knuckle sliders

I suppose what you could maybe do is cut the mount off that is in the way, install the sliders and then rework the original mount to make it fit a little further back on the frame and weld it back in place.

Re: Towing Capacity

Eventually plan to tow a big skid steer a few times a year for retirement property work and back to current home and I will be over 12K for sure. I figure its only a few items a year, and a few hundred miles each way. But I like learning what everyone else has done to tow over the limit weights. So...

The way trucks are priced, I'm betting $70K for a gasser and about $80K for diesel and that's with entry level trim. In a few years trucks will be 6 figures, maybe sooner.
There are a few that already are.

Probably 3-5 grand more if I had to guess. If they do option a winch, probably another few grand more.

Really 53:1 vs 51:1? I'm sorry but not enough of a reason to ever buy a ford [emoji12]

My ‘16 has a 35:1 crawl ratio. Thats quite a difference.

Still not enough to make me switch.

And the big gasser with the 10 speed trans... with a better crawl ratio than the pw with 8 speed... that certainly gets my attention!

Re: Ford Tremor.......

The factory limited slip in the front applies braking to the wheel with slip and power to the the wheel with grip.... not a locker, but damn close. Anyone can add a winch and bumper... hell some do it to the power wagon. Heavy ass diesel yes. But if you tow heavy, I can certainly see going that way....
