Re: Welding Axle Tubes

My understanding is most of the PW tubes spin when the axle bottoms out against the bump stops. The order I went was truss, hydro, gears. I don't think you'll ever be sorry if you truss the front end.

Re: Overland 1.5 inch Spring w/King OEM 2.5 Shock

If I were starting over today the first mods I'd do would be the rear track bar and hydro assist. The front end on the '14+ trucks don't just up and wear out and they definitely last longer with hydro. I don't see the benefit of changing the tierod unless it is damaged.

Thanks RLG. What lights did you end up putting in it? Also, I'm assuming that is a F55 hawse that'll just bolt on there?
Baja Designs. Yes, F55 hawse and flat link.

That skid plate looks like they didn't want to do it but were shamed into it because their current bumper is such a half assed attempt at a Barbie bumper.

They look good for a mall crawler or very light off roading but it looks like you'll be hitting the same rocks and ledges that the stock bumpers hit. This doesn’t look like a mall crawler to me. You're right, it looks like light offroading. [emoji38] Sorry but anyway you cut it those bumpers have n...

One of the parents of a child on my kid's soccer team drives a ZR2. It's funny how small his truck is when I park next to him.

Re: October is expensive truck month, part 2

The question is: After trimming the obvious rub points in the fender wells (plastic/pinch weld) next weekend, will I still have excessive rubbing off roading? (Not hard core rock crawling, but not easy fire roads either. ) Thanks! Not with the undersized BFG. You probably won't even have t...

That's probably what burned up your transmission. During relearn the transmission clutches slip and line pressure is lower.

Turns out the 40"s are going to be an epic pain in the ass to completely clear at cycle Even with 6" of lift you need to cut out the front of the cab, the rear of the front fender, and the rear of the front bumper. Lee's photo's are directly from the side, eventually you have to turn though. 40's f...

Unsolicited Advice on Tires

Some free advice: Get out your wallet and pony up for Toyos. They will be round, just the way you'd expect them to be. You will not save money buying cheap tires, they are cheap for a reason. Yeah yeah yeah, I know, Cooper has a good reputation...enjoy the three pounds of lead they're about to stick...

My 16 did it going 70 mph down the freeway and other random times.

Don't let them give you the "no code, can't reproduce" thing and tell them to just change out the TCPS.

The switch is a common problem.
Do you have a part number?
