A third option are Metalcloak control arms. Easily serviceable and well built. I've had them on my truck for about a year(25k miles) Moab tested last May. They're also a bit more budget friendly than Carli or Thuren as well. You can check out the video on their site that shows how well they articula...

Round trip for me last year was 4600 miles.
I averaged just under 12mpgs with cruise set at 75.
Cost of gas was $1100,but I only run 91 or 93 octane in mine.
Once there,I burned $25-$40 per day.

I wouldn't have been too concerned about salt, till this year. May 2nd was a Monday and the 8th was Sunday. So it's a full week. Gives you a weekend to arrive, a week to hang and a weekend to leave. Or time to show up in between.
