Re: New Member, Wondering how people like their PW

Been happy with my 05. Wasn't specifically looking for a PW when I was shopping, but when I saw it come up and it met all my specs, I was sold. >3/4-ton, gas >4x4 >Ext/Crew cab, short bed Lockers/winch/sway bar... eh, take it or leave it. Doesn't really hurt for my applications, but I could certainl...

Re: Power Wagon sightings

"Sled Deck". Just sits in the bed of the truck, lets you use the bed for storage and throw two sleds up on the deck. Load 'em with a long-ish ramp. There are some designs that have an electric jack that pivots the whole thing down, but they're real expensive and not seen very often. https://mule.smu...

Re: Horn help/pic needed

I'm watching this one, my horns quit about two years ago. First the low side and then the high side about a month later. All of the fuses are good, I had my wife push the horn while I checked for voltage and I dont have anything coming to the horns themselves. I can't seem to locate a wiring diagra...

And since we're up this way... swing through Klim for a factory tour. Klim's one of our sponsors. Conveniently, my shock repair guy's about 2mi north of their facility. Dropped off my bent shock (and a blown-out rear that I've needed to have rebuilt for a few weeks now) and drove to Klim's headquart...

Re: Boogie wagon take 2

If it's not too late, I'd recommend throwing some dynamat or similar under the rear cubby.
Helps knock down some of the noise into the cab.

I'd like to dynamat the rest of the truck... might line the doors this summer.

First ride, breakin and shakedown. Knocked out about 75 miles, next weekend we'll finish out breakin on the new sleds. Mine's running well, some minor trailside clutch adjustments and a few mental notes of what needs adjustment in the garage.... after I get the propane cylinder for my garage heater ...

Re: Altitude sickness?

Computer should be adjusting fuel mix. But yes, without as much air, the fan has to spin more to move the same volume you're used to at sea level.

I notice power loss over 12k ft, revs more and doesn't pull as hard, but it'll still drag a loaded-up sled trailer over the passes. :dunno

Finally got some pics of the truck with new tires... studded Duratracs, 315/70-17. Did pretty well this weekend, first big storm i've had them in. Trailer was skating around a little (sway bar was nice to have on), but the truck stayed planted. https://mule.smugmug.com/Trucks/Ram-2500/i-VtdXmG9/1/L/...

Nice! Cleaned EV's on mine last night... thought to myself, "Wow, these look like they've only got one or two rides on them..." ...then I remembered I had the cylinder off about 3 times last year, replaced the base gasket after Ultimate, then did one day ride and Spring Fling before putting the sled...

Nice!
Still working on the trailer... just about done with roof insulation (got all the big pieces in, just the oddball smaller sections that need to be stuffed), and got a good start on the wiring this weekend.
