Re: My extreme snow run

That's what a "smartphone" camera sometimes does - I have had similar photos where the phone software tried to make a panorama.

That is a good sized log to be carrying on your shoulder; has to be very dry wood and for sure not our mid-west hard maple...

Looks like fun in the snow!

Re: Another Government Wagon Auction

2013 with RamBoxes looks like it sold for $17,600 - nice;
now if I just hadn't already bought 2 new vehicles this year.

Thanks for posting those

Re: BoldAdventures 2015 Power Wagon Build

I had to watch the video; thought you had to do a "self-recovery" with your winch  That Jeep Compass Sport looked to be running the stock tires that are junk for about anything other than bare pavement; I just bought that vehicle in Trailhawk trim for my wife - it comes with much better tires f...

Re: Thoughts ? 2008 QC G-56

You might be able to get around $28,000 or so selling it outright; there was a similar truck on here a little while back (think it was auto trans). The problem is there are too few people that really know what a PW is worth. Toyota's are supposed to hold their value - if you got a real good price wh...

Re: Western Ultramount II 8.5 on '13 PW

bones - that is a nice setup; doesn't look like plow undercarriage/mount will be much of a problem for off-road. The old ones sure were.... I have seen only a few pictures of Power Wagons with plows. Red's Auto in Ironwood, MI had a 2014 or 2015 with a boss plow for sale several months back but I on...

Re: Waseca or Rochester, MN

Rochester is pretty nice town; I was there at Mayo Clinic for a hip replacement. Some of the best medical care in the USA & maybe in the world. Don't know about buying house; would expect costs may be a little higher due to demand - but that's just a guess. Shouldn't need a block heater; like others...

I see the Feds are buying quite a few; I saw a matching pair of Tradesman Power-Wagons here locally last month with US GOV plates.
and "vanished" has an Omaha Orange PW Tradesman....

That Orange is a "catchy" color - looks like they added just about every available option to that (can't add Ramboxes with low volume paint color).

Re: Any Ordering Advice

If you don't have your heart set on brand new; try a Nationwide search on CarGurus for used 2017 Ram PowerWagons; there are several pretty nice 2017 models for sale around the country with fairly low miles.

Re: Another Death Wobble post

I saw DW on a non-PW 2500 on a recent trip to Montana; was going 80mph+ on I-15 north of Great Falls with my mini-van and went to pass a Dodge/Ram 2500 when his front tires started the Death Wobble. I could see his front tires shaking rapidly from side-to-side and could even see the steering wheel s...

iBoom - If you want to post a picture, it seems to work best if they are saved (downsized) to be less than 1 mega-bite file size in some other program first. Then just scroll down to "Upload attachment" below the edit box, click on "Choose File" and browse to the desired file/picture location, then ...

Re: Toyo MT 37x 12.5(D) vs 13.5(E)

That tire tread pattern looks very, very similar to the new Yokohama Geolandar M/T G003, and also very similar to the Cooper Discoverer STT that I have (no longer available). Should be a great tire, too bad it's so difficult to get Toyo's in these parts. I have noticed that wider tires seem to be co...

Re: Power Wagon sightings

Out for a morning walk; spotted two US government Power Wagon Tradesman in black - a fair size boat trailer behind one. Not sure if they are Border Patrol, special drug enforcement, or federal fish biologists. Both trucks have "law-enforcement style" laptop computers bolted in to the center console.

Re: New PW Owner ?

iBOOM -

How about some pictures? sounds like some impressive work using the winch?

When the trails get rough, I just slow down (slower than a walk); then the roll isn't so harsh - that is why I want a Power Wagon - for the softer ride in the rough stuff.

Re: Toyo RTs vs MTs in snow/ice

sorry I can't comment much on Toyo's as they are very difficult to buy around here for some reason (too many tightwad finlanders I guess). I had a set of Toyo 55's on my old Ford for close to 10 years; they handled a load very well but rubber eventually got so hard they were worthless in all snow co...

That looks like a cream puff; probably never installed the hook on the winch line....
Average of ~4,000 miles per year for first 4 years, plus good maintenance records at dealers.
Nice, but I'm still going to wait for 2014+ with Ramboxes.....

Having trouble posting pics. It says they are too large? Try resizing your pictures so the file size (of each) is less than 1 MegaBite (MB). Then you should not have any trouble. The remote CD player has been a factory option for some time; I'm sure it is also available through dealer/MOPAR parts.

Re: 2017 Ram Tradesman Power Wagon

Nice to see you can still get RamBoxes on the Tradesman Power Wagon. That is a decent price! I tried out a 2014 or 2015 model basically identical to that 2 years ago. It was minus the tonneau cover & spray-in bedliner. Can't recall if it had the 5.0 radio or "parksense". I do remember that the truck...

Re: Chrysler Extended warranty

Some of our trucks are at or well over ten years old now. They are not piles of junk. The only thing I agree with though is the electronics issue. Not wiring but the multitude of control modules. While they do go bad from time to time 90% of the time they don't. When they do it's more likely an out...
